Violence & Gore

  • People are killed, but all offscreen. The score and sound design is used to make it obvious what is happening though
  • A man shatters a bottle on another man's head, knocking him to the ground. The man tosses another bottle while he is unconscious on the ground, however this is time it is offscreen.
  • Eric is tripped and receives a bad concussion.
  • Leonard is slashed in the leg, stabbed in the torso, and is later attacked in a bathroom. Blood is shown.

Profanity

  • Moderate level profanity, although this contains the most usage of such in M. Night Shyamalan's films. There are 17 uses of "Fuck", 5 uses of "Shit", 3 uses of "Damn", 2 uses of "Ass" and maybe a few others.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • None in this film-a bottle of alcohol is shown in a welcome basket, but it is not consumed

Violence & Gore

  • Leonard cuts their own throat. This is offscreen, however blood pouring from their neck is shown.
  • Adrianne is killed by Leonard and Sabrina offscreen. While nothing is shown, sound can be heard.
  • We see Redmond hit in the head with 2 sharp makeshift weapons by Adrianne and Sabrina (offscreen) blood trickles down his back head, we then see the after math for a brief moment before falling to the ground which then Leonard decapitate him.
  • Sabrina is shot in the chest by Andrew, we see the gun shot wound which forms into a blood spot onto her shirt.
  • Many disasters occur such as tsunamis, plagues, storms, and planes falling from the sky. These are all shown on news reports which can be disturbing.
  • A man is hit over the head with a glass bottle by a drunken man - implied to be a hate crime.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The scenes involving the strangers' deaths are very difficult to watch and may disturb some viewers.
  • The clips of disasters and deaths occurring may be frightening, especially to younger or more sensitive viewers.
  • There can be a number of suicides seen in this film
