"Never leave a Cooper woman standing at the altar"
Ed-Shullivan15 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
What a hoot! Although the last few Rivervale episodes have been even stranger than the past few seasons, in this the record 100th century episode Jughead narrates his parallel universe between RiverDale and RiverVale. Seeing Betty standing in her white wedding dress, she's even hotter holding a smoking gun and the world is a better place once again in home sweet home Riverdale.

The episode would not be complete without a trip back down memory lane at Pop's Chocolate Shop in the sky, where the two Jughead(s) reminisce about the old fashioned ARCHIE comic book stand while Jughead is served his second helping of a juicy hamburger and fries by Pops while Jughead wears his iconic multi pointed Kings cap, he skims through one of the Archie comic books and explains to Betty wearing her white wedding dress and the second Jughead what they need to do to get out of this parallel universe.

I was getting a bit bored over the past few episodes in this stranger than strange Rivervale world, but this the 100th episode lived up to past expectations of the Riverdale series and I am back at Pop's reading those iconic comic books which were first introduced eighty (80) years ago, in December 1941, with all those wonderful teenage characters.

Still a great series.

Much better than whatever those first four episodes were

I really wish this five episode event had been better. This was the best part by far. Wasn't amazing by any means, but I'm okay with the direction this episode took things.

100th episode

Okay wasn't digging the whole "Rivervale" thing, but I must admit this episode was pretty good not great mind you, but it did have its moments.

Definitely liked it when Jughead was wearing the outfit from the old comics.

I highly enjoyed the 100th
ldamena15 December 2021
It was definitely a love letter to the fans that have stuck with this show thru all the downs & highs over the years. It definitely structured what the heart of Riverdale is. It was weird, dark, hilarious in some parts and edgy. Really took me back to the first 2 seasons. Have to say this was one of my favorite episodes of the series. It had something for everyone. It's gonna be a long wait til March.

Ahhmazing.

Hands down one of the best episodes!! It was whacky, comical, and mysterious as per RiverVale, but it tied together the 5 episode special event and ended the 'Land of Confusion' most of the viewers were in. The flashbacks and past characters shown (Hal, Fred, Ethel, and even the OG Reggie) made this story a perfect 100th episode. While I do think bringing Betty into Jughead's plot was a little odd for the current situation that was unfolding (and pure fanservice - sorry 'bughead' fans, but it's true), it was all together wonderful. I was beyond surprised and excited to see the ending, because I thought we would have to wait for 6b! The episode was everything and more. Now back to RiverDale we go with hopefully a Betty and Archie wedding in the future and finding out the real TBK.

Great!

Episode 100 was really good, explaining the other 4 episodes in a creative way (much better than my "Jughead is in a coma or something and he is dreaming all this). And, as episodes 100 should, there were a lot of cameos and references to the existence of the comics. One of those cameos, a certain girl, was my favorite.

I just regret that some characters did not make an appearance, some of them were not even mentioned. But still, the story was truly fun and, after some disappointing episodes, this was was a win.

Goodbye Rivervale...
m-4782610 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I'm clearly in the minority here, but I liked this alternate universe thing. It made the storylines more exciting and oddly sensical. Until that episode... It wasn't too bad, and the way writers made it self aware of the series flaws and unbelievable writing, was an inventive decoy. But I still don't understand why Riverdale, the « true » fictional world of the show, ought to be the one that needed to be saved. The fact that Jughead was Rivervale's « god » was pushy as well, I would've rather it be a fantasy world, than full on fictional as well. In that case, how are we supposed to care about any of Riverdale/Rivervale storylines? And are we going to be introduced to the « real life » universe, these characters come from next? Or are we to assume the Riverdale series, has no established timeline? I hope they thought this through already...

Fun to watch

Warning: Spoilers
The first four episodes weren't very good but this one was different. The story coming to one final crazy conclusion with Jughead saving the day as always. Archie being the big bad the similarities between rivervale and riverdale, the two Reggie's ,the heaven scene and that final phone call Betty received back in Riverdale were all very interesting. One of my favorites in this entire series.

I've hated this whole Rivervale crap, but this episode was at least a little bit more exciting than the other ones. I do miss the regular Riverdale though, so I'm glad that Rivervale is over and done with so we can go back to the real deal instead.

In A Parallel Universe, This Show Is Actually Good
dfbhfxp11 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
What has happened to this show? Season 1 was great. Season 2 was alright. It's has been a steady decline, but this episode dropped it off a cliff. I guess because the MCU did parallel universes, Riverdale had to as well. And to drag Luke Perry into the episode...what a stain on his memory. I've lasted 100 episodes but this is the final straw.

100th episode!
buuveiweasley16 December 2021
Well, we all know Riverdale is not our traditional TV. It is unexpected, surprising, weird, fun, and satisfying. Riverdale is like watching a comic book on TV which totally makes sense because it's an adaptation of Archie Comics. Knowing that specific week has a Riverdale episode makes my life kind of exciting and all the nerves and pressure I got from that week are relieved by 40 minutes one fun ride. It has always been my favorite and I'm so thankful that we, as fans, had a chance to get 100th episode on this wicked amazing journey.

PS: Betty in white is absolutely GORGEOUS! Never leave a Cooper woman standing at the altar.

The Jughead Paradox- Monumental 100th Episode
nross-4674415 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
-In order to truly appreciate all that this episode has to offer, you need to put down whatever you are doing and pay close attention to all this episode has to offer. From everyone coming back from having their hearts ripped out(Archie), turning into the vengeful spirit La Llorona(Toni), dragged to Hell(Reggie), souls transferred(Cheryl/Nana Rose), and their counterparts seem to have dreamed everything. Practically everyone has returned from the dead. We even get a glimpse of Ms. Grundy. The only characters not to be in this episode are Hiram, Hermione, F. P, and Fred Andrews, played by the late Luke Perry. It is a truly remarkable episode and it is a love letter to the fans who have stuck with this show for 100 episodes!

This should be the 1st episode of Season 6
andrewtst16 December 2021
All episodes before this was so unnecessary and this should be the 1st episode of Season 6.

Finally something is worth to watch and connected to Season 5 last episode.

Warning: Spoilers
I loved this episode, it was everything a 100th episode should be - a perfect combination of new and old Riverdale. I liked that the writers chose to bring back characters who had died or left the show, to give the fans a bit of nostalgia. There was a new level of craziness, but as usual, it worked well.

What an episode this just saved the show 🤧. Everything of S6 finally made sense and it was completely worth it sticking to this show despite it going so poor.

bunch of confusion that's fun to watch.
flife-3832715 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I liked this episode, a weird way to go about such a huge milestone for a series but it was good. 6.04 remains my favorite out of the 5 episodes but this one is very close in second. Love that Rivervale is a parallel universe, loved that Ethel came back to actually help figure out how to fix it. Archie going on a killing spree was unexpected but fair touch. The comic book style scene was amazing, a masterpiece. Archie leaving Betty at the wedding and her shooting him was funny. Bughead saving the universe was great and they work so much better as platonic partners. Then that final scene, back in Riverdale, moments before the bomb goes off, Betty gets a phone call from i'm assuming Rivervale, telling her to get out of the house because of the bomb under the bed. Her and Archie get out safely while Jughead is in the garage while the bomb explodes, now most likely suffering from a little bit of hearing loss. Great episode, really no complaints other than lack of Choni. The two reggies almost made up for that though.

What an epic jughead-centric episode!!
giadadefrancesco21 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is definitely not an episode about couples. This is an eventful episode about Jughead's journey! The best episode of the whole series, at least to me!

Jughead's narration and writing have a deeper meaning in this episode! It's crazy how the writers developed this character! I always liked Jughead but I would have never expected something like that! Plus, we have parallel universe's story that I LOVE.

Think about when we thought Jughead was a failed writer in his ordinary life! Well that was clearly a distraction, because he actually re-writes people's lives, creates new universes and keep them safe and even changes the course of the events in Riverdale universe (betty gets the phone call) just by writing thanks to the power of imagination!! Is he a sort of God/puppeteer, now?? I mean this is about Rivervale Jughead but I am pretty sure Riverdale jughead's importance will be adressed in the future because he (every version of jughead) is the key!

I don't know how this episode will tie with the rest of the season but there is no way the future events (even if they are set in Riverdale) won't be affected by this HUGE revelation! It's really HUGE!

Not to mention we have 3 jugheads now: riverVale jughead, writer jughead (the one in the bunker) and riverDale jughead!

This was really an epic episode!

Saved the best for last
hnt_dnl5 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Up until this "finale" episode that concludes the special 5-episode Rivervale event, this arc really wasn't clicking. Just a bunch of random, weird storytelling, even for Riverdale standards. The writers smartly wrapped up the event. It seems that Hiram's bomb that he planted in Archie's house resulted in an explosion that somehow created this alternate, twisted copy of Riverdale called Rivervale, which was created when Archie woke up from his "dream" in the Season 6 premiere. In this alternate universe, some things were the same and some very different. In this 100th episode of the show, somehow Rivervale Jughead (played by the stalwart Cole Sprouse) becomes aware that the rules of physics are being violated as parallel universes are clashing which will eventually result in the total destruction of all universes. The episode brings back several characters for the event. It also has a universe that pays homage to the 1950s Archie Comics.

As it turns out, Rivervale Archie (KJ Apa in a typically excellent performance) is the Big Bad of the alternate dimension as the universe was created through his dream. He realized that everyone in Rivervale comes back to life eventually, so he realizes this is a way to bring back his beloved father Fred Andrews by keeping Rivervale alive and thwarting Jughead's plan to re-create the Barchie bedroom scene in an effort to save Riverdale. To satisfy hardcore (is there any other kind? Lol) Bughead fans, the writers had Rivervale Betty save Jughead by shooting Archie in the head and have BUGHEAD attempt to re-create a Barchie scene. Thankfully, they get interrupted by Narrator Jughead who figures out a way to keep both universes in tact, thereby saving the prime Riverdale versions of Archie and Betty from Hiram's bomb in the process.

My one gripe about the episode (and thus the 1 less star) had to be the Bughead tease. I know of the actors' off-screen relationship and breakup and Lili Reinhart couldn't look any less interested in the Bughead scenes, something I've noticed since the start of Season 5. It's ironic that I felt like this offscreen relationship was completely defining the show in it's first 4 seasons and now the writers have to resort to cheap tricks to keep fan hope alive. Maybe if they just wrote the show from the beginning based on their actual vision instead of some offscreen relationship, they wouldn't have to resort to this now.

Finally! A decent episode!
shanet-davis22 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I'm not sure if I'm rating it a 10 because the others were so bad, but I really enjoyed this episode.

Bringing back previously departed characters can be seen as cheesy, but if so, CHESSE ME UP! The Reggies... brilliant!!
