The new version is great
KingConrad3 September 2013
I have been watching this for awhile now. I think the new way it is shown now works perfectly. I look forward to NXT more than I do Smackdown or RAW now. I love watching these new people grow and learn. Then seeing them move onto raw feels like seeing a child grow.

The way NXT shows off the female wrestlers is something RAW and Smackdown needs to take note of.

Right now I think NXT has something shows like TNA could learn from. The short shows really work. The simple story lines and the great moves are what really makes this one of the best.

If you are getting suck of the glare of RAW or Smackdown then this is it. You get the money of WWE, the writing and some great young talent... But without the politics of the main 2.

If you like Wrestling you will love this show.

The Third Brand
cousbrojs24 September 2015
Okay, so it's not really the third brand and it's still named the developmental system, but it's hard to ignore the fact that NXT alone is it's own separate brand from the other live shows WWE presents. Brimming with young up and comers, a sleek look and smaller crowds, it's amazing to note that over the years NXT has become somewhat of a behemoth behind the scenes, and it's not hard to see why.

Despite the show being an hour long, it fits perfectly for what it is. The story lines are interjected and tightly paced, the matches are enjoyable and unlike the main shows, main story lines are given time to build for two months before a big event which ultimately has a great payoff.

NXT right now has come quite a long way. It's started off for many as a weird WWE competition but has since come to life as almost like a separate third brand. If you want to see the upcoming superstars of the future for WWE, look no further!

Perhaps the best thing going in WWE
Terryfan25 December 2019
In 2010 WWE NXT was formed as a replacement for their ECW brand which needed to be put out of it misery from the Get Go.

However the first edition of NXT wasn't any good because it felt like it was a comedy show.

But when the brand got to become more serious you can see how far NXT has come featuring some of the best matches that will make you chant "This is Awesome".

Matches that would be worth the price of a ticket and to make you watch the show with great appreciation for wrestling and NXT is the main brand that is keeping WWE going with wrestlers will go all in for making the best matches they can.

Now they are USA Network you can watch the show and go where this been all my years of watching wrestling.

NXT is the brand to watch
migellepatterson19 April 2019
NXT is WWE best brand right now and they have less wrestlers less time shows and they make the most of what they've got with William Regal Triple H in charge and the takeover main event shows are phenomenal their women's division their tag team division their mid card division and the heavyweight division are absolutely amazing, right now raw and SmackDown adismal too many commercials corny storylines and water down wrestling and Talent they don't know what to do with NXT has none of those problems just pure original storylines quality wrestling and promos coming from the heart of the wrestlers this is why this is the best brand in WWE because the future is on there we are NXT.

Show is so-so, "Pro Poll" not so compelling
entertained1 April 2010
NXT has a large amount of potential to show off the young talent from WWE's farm system. UNFORTUNATELY, the "PRO POLL" that is used to determine the weekly rankings for the Rookies are as compelling as a pet rock.

WWE finds themselves with at least three very exciting young stars -- Daniel Bryan, Heath Slater and Wade Barrett. Justin Gabriel should be up there too, same for David Otunga, however, the personalities are just not very well developed. In most cases, the fans don't know whether to root for or to boo the rookies b/c each rookie relies on the music and the heat that their WWE PRO receives from the crowd.

They should come up with more exciting challenges each week with a winner receiving a new entrance theme or a titantron video or something to make them more unique compared to the others.

On top of all of that, WWE Needs to find a way to be more interactive with their fans about how to vote for or vote off the rookies each week. The writers need to find a way to make the "pro poll" less complicated and more exciting. If they fail to do so, this show will go by the way of all crappy shows and be canceled before long.

Cardboard

I hate this show.

Its boring, lame and manipulative.

Boring because it feels like your watching practice or rehearsal. It just feels empty.

Lame because pro wrestling is whack. Men play fighting for a dollar. LAME.

Manipulative because good wrasslers in NXT always turn INto scrubs and jobbers then are released AFTER GOING TO RAW OR SMACKDOWN.

Verdict: NEXT

less annoying then raw and smackdown but still annoying
adambbackup23 September 2023
NXT doesn't have ads after every single match but almost everything that can be covered in LED signs are and the only thing that doesn't have LED signs on it are the ring posts. NXT used to be bare bones and didn't have the prettiest or fanciest design but it made sense for what was a developmental division where people could work on their character, ring work and work on their promos before they were able to get to the bigger divisions like SmackDown and Raw but nowadays NXT is just treated as another division for the WWE to use on whatever wrestler they want and on top of that the WWE decided to make the championship belt a rainbow colour when that makes no sense for what the NXT is.
