- An unidentifiable body is discovered in the shower of an upscale home belonging to a young female socialite. With the help of nosy bones expert and Jeffersonian "squint" Clark Edison, skeletal reconstruction and evidence in the drain reveal that the victim was a young girl employed by a counterfeit handbag distributor. The team learns that the victim supplied counterfeit purses to her socialite acquaintance, and after interrogating the self-centered socialite and sifting through footage on a hidden camera, they discover evidence linking them to the murderer. Meanwhile, Angela and Hodgins discuss their future home and where they want to raise a family, and Booth opens up to Hannah about Brennan's feelings for him.—Fox Publicity
- Paisly Johnston's (23) fiancé finds a body in her shower. The body had been in the running water for three days and is identified as her missing Asian Facebook friend, Jenny Yang. They recently broke up and were involved with investigator Eric Anderson in his most promising counterfeit luxury fashion goods investigation against Chinese restaurant owner Mama Liu.—KGF Vissers
- A man named Brody (Ryan Carnes) enters a house searching for his girlfriend. He hears the shower running. "Sweet," he says ... and pulls off his clothes. "Where are you baby?" the man asks seductively. Suddenly, he slips, landing HARD on the shower floor -- and facing a decomposing body. He SCREAMS. Booth (David Boreanaz), meanwhile, visits Sweets (John Francis Daley) at the gym. The young doctor runs on the treadmill while the agent explains Bones admitted that she might still have feelings for her partner. Booth feels guilty for not telling Hannah, but doesn't want his GF to hate the other lady in his life. So the love-triangle saga continues.
Cut to the shower, where Camille (Tamara Taylor) and Bones examine the barely-there body. Looks like a female in her early 20s. In fact, the large house belongs to a known "party girl." Hodgins (T.J. Thyne), meanwhile, is snaking the drain from the roof and talking through a two-way radio -- incessantly. Annoyed, Booth switches off the radio -- unfortunate as none hear Hodgins' warning that they should stand away from the drain. Moments later, a geyser of blood and bone fragments erupts directly into the faces of Booth, Bones and Camille. "Scrape it off into evidence bags and be careful not to swallow," says a calm Bones. Gross. Back at the Jeffersonian, usually buttoned-up Clark (Eugene Byrd) attempts to be more personal at work. The results ("So, are you still dating that gynecologist?") are awkward at best. Booth, in the meantime, looks at the victim's social-network page. It's full of photos showing Paisley (Eve Mauro) partying with beautiful people and small, purse-sized dogs. A frequent friend in the photos is a woman named Nicole (Jennifer Holland), who recently got into a fight with her a BFF.
Nicole is brought in for questions. The vapid young woman cries upon hearing the news that her friend is dead. She also explains the two fought when Paisley gave Nicole a counterfeit handbag. Nicole tried to return it at a store and was escorted out. "I was totally humiliated," Nicole explains. Maybe -- but reason enough for murder? Cut to Hodgins, who finally snakes the last of Paisley out of the drains. Inside a clot of bloody hair is a small piece of paper. Pregnant Angela (Michaela Conlin) promises to reconstruct it. Booth, meanwhile, tells Hannah about Bones' confession. "It's all in the past," says Booth, claiming to have feelings only for his blond bombshell. Hannah appears to believe him.
Back at the lab, Clark examines the body and discovers the bones are more consistent with an Asian than a Caucasian. "Which means this isn't Paisley Johnston," Camille concludes. Plot twist! Act II begins with Bones and Camille reconstructing the paper found in the hair. It turns out to be a Taoist charm -- a spell used to cure bone problems. The victim -- whoever she was -- had Scoliosis. It makes sense that she had the charm in the shower, Bones explains, because one would affix it to the affected part of the body using water. Bones then gets a call from Hannah, who cancels their dinner plans. Uh oh.
Luckily, the paper charm bears the logo of the apothecary where it was purchased. B&B head to the joint, where the clerk, Ming, reveals he was engaged to the victim who he identifies as Jenny Yang. He fights back tears as he explains that Jenny was paying far too much attention to her American friends -- friends like Paisley, who worked with the dead woman. It led to Ming and Jenny fighting. B&B follow Ming's tip to a Chinese restaurant where the proprietor, Mama Liu (Elizabeth Sung), deals counterfeit purses out of the back room. Suddenly, the local police BURST into the restaurant and start cuffing everybody.
B&B are later let go by Eric Anderson (Mark Famiglietti), a counterfeiter investigator. Later, Bones stakes out Hannah at her workplace. "I'm late," an uncomfortable Hannah explains. Bones asks what is wrong ... and Hannah explains Booth told her about Bones' romantic confession. The two appear to work it out after some initial awkwardness, however. Cut to the interrogation room, where Anderson and Booth question Mama Liu. The old woman denies killing Jenny, who has "like a daughter." She then explains Paisley owed her $2,000 for purses. "Jenny went to her house to collect and I never saw her again," Mama Liu explains. "She tried to be one of them. That's what killed her!"
Clark, meanwhile, has discovered Jenny was killed by a blow to the back of the head -- a violent blow. Camille calls Booth, who reports he has found Paisley at a cheap hotel (using a computer chip inserted into her purse-sized pet). The socialite has been doing nothing but drinking and drugging. "I'm thinking that's the kind of thing you do if you regret murdering someone," Camille opines. Booth concurs. In the ambulance, a woozy Paisley explains Jenny had a key to her house used to drop off purses -- but that she didn't kill anybody. She was drinking and drugging because, well, she likes to.
Back at the lab, Bones determines Jenny was picked up and her head was jammed DOWN on a shower nozzle. Booth, in the meantime, question Paisley's boyfriend Brody, who admits to surreptitiously taping his girlfriend using a camera hidden inside a teddy bear. Apparently, Paisley knew about the bear and had sex with other men anyway. Later, Booth and Sweets watch the videos. "She is very energetic," Booth observes. Asks Sweets: "Is this porn or work?" It's nebulous. Booth then notices the woman has a charm on her back. It's not Paisley in this particular video but Jenny! The time code indicates Jenny was having sex with someone (in Paisley's bed) the day she was killed. So whodunit? Clark enters with news: rhino horn was found in the victim's skull. And who runs an apothecary which stocks rhino horn? Bring in Ming!
Ming is brought -- and explains Jenny was "losing her identity" by hanging out with all these party girls. Bones then measures the man's tibia -- and compares it to the tibia of the unidentified man in the sex video with Jenny. Turns out the two don't match. So Jenny was having with some other guy. Angela then looks at the video and, using her magic computer, tracks down all the reflective surfaces in the room. She pieces all the reflections to together and reveals -- wait for it -- Anderson! Later, Anderson tells Booth that he "made a mistake." Jenny was helping with the investigation and "one thing led to another." Not good because, while the couple was showering after sex, Jenny said she didn't want to get Mama Liu in trouble anymore. In fact, Jenny threatened to reveal her relationship with Anderson if he went through the bust (and collected a bonus, as a result). Well, "one thing led to another" and Anderson murdered the girl. "You killed her and you ran," says a seething Booth. Yup -- pretty much. Case closed.
But not the episode. Hodgins and Angela look at an ultrasound of their baby when the former reveals to the latter he offered to buy Paisley's house (Angela had admired it earlier). He promises to replace the shower, of course. Angela is OVERJOYED. Cut to Hannah and Bones having a drink at the bar. "Angela said that I should move on," Bones tells Hannah, who agrees, yes, nobody else should pursue her man. They have another drink or three. Looks the friendship is back on ... for now.
