Sex & Nudity

  • Your character can get married in the game but no explicit sex is shown. If you sleep in your home shared with your spouse (implied off-screen sex), you receive a "Lover's Comfort" bonus for a limited time.
  • Players can have their character in their underwear. Other characters will comment negatively towards them if they do. Enemies can also be stripped down to their underwear (either by pickpocketing them or looting them).
  • There are a couple books that you can read called the "Lusty Argonian Maid" books. These are full of innuendo and are basically about foreplay. They say things like "you must kneed my loaf so it can enlarge", and "put your loaf in my oven to satisfy my needs."
  • Cleavage on one of the statues in the loading screen, cleavages on npcs, and skeletons (that are suposse to I guess be female ) have shape as if they have boobs tho they are a skeleton.
  • In dark brotherhood quests youll come across woman in only bra and pants.
  • Mobs called "Wispmother" have very revealing clothes.
  • There are places where you'll see fully nude statues of the goddess of beauty. Nipples included, but no explicit detail below the waist.
  • A side character, if asked about her background, explains that she was kidnapped and sexually assaulted, then escaped by killing the perpetrators.
  • As with many fantasy series, female armor sets can be more suggestive than practical.

Violence & Gore

  • Weapons can get bloody during combat.
  • A very mild "M" rated game. Violence is prevalent and decapitations are rare (mostly just some blood).
  • At the beginning of the game a prisoner is put on a block and executioner cuts his head off with an axe. Blood gushes from the neck briefly.
  • Dragon breath and fire magic can burn people, surrounding the person in flame but with no physical burns seen. However, players may find burnt corpses that are already spawned in and have fully charred skin.
  • The player can find skeletons or more recent corpses throughout dungeons, caves, and other areas.
  • The game features "Kill Moves", which are special and more violent animations that sometimes play when defeating enemies. After unlocking a specific ability, these kill moves can sometimes result in enemies being beheaded.
  • While in the "Special" and "Anniversary" versions of the game you can turn the gore off, the Kill Moves of the Werewolf still displays blood.
  • If you become a werewolf you have to eat hearts from dead bodies to get werewolf perks.
  • You can also kill other fantasy creatures (skeletons, giant spiders, etc). When an enemy is killed there is a short splash of blood. When killing some creatures, the blood will be a different color. There's occasionally blood on walls in dungeons. The blood can sometimes stain melee weapons.
  • If you become a vampire, you'll watch yourself get bitten, then wake up hours later as a full blood vampire. Not very graphic, but may affect some queasy players.
  • Two public beheadings take place in the game (the player can look away if desired), and beheading is also possible in combat.
  • Necromancer caves sometimes have skulls on spears.
  • Although the game can be violent, the enemies that you will be fighting most often (e.g. dragons, draugr, giant spiders, and the such) will not spill much blood, and it's usually a greenish color. Keep in mind that the point of the game is to kill dragons, which is more fantasy like than violent and that most if not all violence is done out of self defense.

Profanity

  • Damn is used moderately throughout the entire game, Ass is used once, Whore is used twice, and Bitch is used twice. Bastard is used too at the beginning of the game and other times.
  • Almost non-existent. The word Damn is used a handful of times.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Much stronger than the base game as there is much alcohol, but also many uses of drugs, implied and shown, but never explicit.
  • The player can drink many forms of alcohol, if they choose to, including mead and wine.
  • There are no explicit uses of "drugs" and players are encouraged to not use them.
  • There are also many potions that enhance the players abilities. Health, stamina and mana potions are the most common. They simply give a boost to a certain attribute.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • One side quest involves a child's death. This can be disturbing depending on the player.
  • It's a fantasy game with multiple enemies and allies. Many may be found scary to young children (skeletons). Some of the tombs that the player must go through are dark and claustrophobic. They can also have traps. There're many extremely creepy moments, sometimes giving you the feeling that you are watching a horror movie like draugrs sneaking up on you and scaring you or spiders making terrifying sounds while you don't see them.
  • Violence is simaler to most fantasy games and movies such as the Lord of the Rings and the other elder scrolls games.
