Storyline
Sassy, streetwise Max works two jobs just to get by, one of which is waiting tables during the night shift at the retro-hip Williamsburg Diner. Sophisticated Caroline is an uptown trust fund princess who's having a run of bad luck that forces her to reluctantly give waitressing a shot. At first, Max sees Caroline as yet another in a long line of inept servers she must cover for, but she's surprised to find that Caroline has as much substance as she does style. When Caroline discovers Max's knack for baking amazing cupcakes, she sees a lucrative future for them, but they first need to raise the start-up money.

Goofs
Oleg only wears a singlet on his torso when cooking in the kitchen of Han's diner. Dressing in this way would violate food hygiene regulations, which require cooks, chefs, and kitchen hands to be adequately covered in order to prevent hair and sweat from contaminating the food and beverages, however the quality, hygiene, freshness of the food, and overall cleanliness of the diner (or lack thereof of any of that) has been a running gag throughout the series.

I feel like I need to write a review in this show defense after reading so many negative reviews.
I mostly watch it before bedtime and I found it extremely relaxing. I do not need much attention, it has a positive vibe and it is funny enough. Not the deep mind blowing shows that makes me too thoughtful. And that is perfectly fine.
All characters combine very well with which other and I kind of feel at home when viewing one more episode.
All in all this show perfect fits my needs and I find it very enjoyable.
