Goofs

When Mandy turns around to walk out the door, she bumps into the wall and drops her glasses. After she gets her glasses back, she bumps into the same wall again. She can still see the wall even without her glasses on, even though she has blurry vision. So it's very likely she was distracted and wasn't being careful or paying attention to where she was walking to, even though she would feel the door. See more »

Quotes

Mandy: So, are you really here just to train for the big world?
Moxy: Uh huh, you bet and we're all going to end up with our own special kid to love.
Mandy: You do know that Lou is going to make it super hard. Right?
Moxy: Well I say bring it on Louis!
Mandy: He means well of course, though he can be a bit judgmental.
Lucky Bat: You think?
UglydogWage: Still, without his constructive criticism, none of us would ever get anywhere. So, just stay on his good side.
[Mandy bumps into the wall and falls down and her glasses fall on the floor]
Moxy: Oh cool ...

What an odd message for a film solely aimed at infants!
18 August 2019 | by coombsstephenSee all my reviews

I usually enjoy animation films and even the most basic have a bit of cross over humour adults but this had none. It is aimed at the very young and though there are a few laughs I can't see many over infant school age enjoying it.

However if my kids were that age I am not sure I would want them seeing a film which says anyone who doesn't look like how the film describes 'perfect' is somehow inferior. Without spoilering the film, glasses, pimples and missing teeth, are all pointed out as being ugly. The film even includes a song spelling out U-G-L-Y for these characters from the 'perfect' kid. Even at the end the moral of the story doesn't really come across that well or clear.

The saving grace for this film is the music, which is quite good.
