- A saloon in town features multiple prostitutes who are dressed in revealing clothes and obviously are entertaining men in the upstairs bedrooms. No sex or explicit nudity is shown.
- Two men come home from the war and are implied to sleep with their wives (no sex is actually shown). One of the wives states that she is willing to do her duty as a wife, but asks her husband to "spill his seed" outside of her, because she couldn't survive another birth.
- A young girl is sleeping in a bedroom with other girls. A young man (her lover) comes downstairs in his underwear and slides under her blankets. They kiss and cuddle, and it is implied that they have sex (nothing is shown). She makes a comment about it being her first time and wanting to have saved it for her husband.
- A couple goes to a lake and take a bath. The young man strips down and jumps in. His bare backside is visible for a short time. The young woman undresses (offscreen) and jumps in as well. No female nudity is seen except some side boob. Nothing is shown in close-up.
- A young woman becomes pregnant.
- A young man is seduced by a young woman and sleeps with her. They are once seen lying in bed together, covered by the blanket.
- A young woman is shown from behind, wearing only a see through crocheted blanket. Part of her buttocks can be seen as well as some mild side boob.
- In a scene, a woman can be heard moaning loudly behind a closed door with a man (implying sex). A young man at the door asks the man in the room "Are you coming?" (to the fight), the woman says, "He will be soon", and the man having sex remarks "I'm coming".

- A young man gets a big splinter in his eye while chopping a tree (some blood).
- A man is stabbed repeatedly with knives by two men, before getting shot.

- A young woman's little girl is often referred to as sick, and later on dies; the grieving mother is seen choosing her coffin.

- A man gets shot 3 times and dies (we see some blood).
- An old man sets his house on fire and dies (we briefly see him screaming among the fire).

- A young woman falls on the floor and dies (we see blood coming out of her nose and mouth).
- A man walks up behind a young man who's peeing outside. Another man comes up behind the attacker and kills him. The man then pisses on his dead body.
