Frank Prentice reports his Ukrainian mail order bride Olena Marchenko missing, but becomes the prime suspect when she's found murdered. After Pierce diagnoses him unable to remember faces the suspect list grows with mobster Alexi Topaloff and his henchmen who sold the 'abused' bride, a maid, adultery suspects... The dean meanwhile orders unwilling Pierce to bond with an admiring but inferior new academic colleague to be recruited, Michael Hathaway.
