More foundation. Both women are venomous. If Ellen takes over, there will be one less cobra, but a new snake in town. This delves into several issues. Ellen's father, Gordon Clapp, takes on the role that Patty's father did in her relationship. He is vicious and Ellen faces off against him. The parallels are almost too striking. Ellen hunts down the man who tried to kill her. He is set to do it again, but we see what happens. Anything to win. No matter what the cost! We go back to the meeting in Rome that led to McClaren's case. We see how the information was manipulated. And, there is a wonderful scene in Patty's office. The meeting before the trial. Ellen has reason to be more sure of herself than ever before. Let's see how they finish this.

Warning: Spoilers
As Ellen said maybe she will be back in her office I wonder if something is going to happen next week between the two. Strong episode overall and just goes to show how Patty can make me people tell her what she wants to hear. Ellen has become so like Patty that when she sat in Patty's chair it seemed to me to be a symbol that after these five years (8 years in the show) she has overtaken Patty and maybe could beat her in the case if she makes it to the court. John Hannah was good once again getting the maybe not buzzed about the performance but the better one of the two male supporting characters. Sure the storyline with Ellen's parents may have been filler but tonight it really just worked with me and Ellen opposite her father was so tense for me as I was wondering would he hit her but then her pulling the gun on him was stellar for Ellen as it just proves more and more she has become Patty 2.0. Also great for Ellen was when she finally faced her fears by facing her attempted killer which just proves how underrated Byrne is on this show. With only one episode left in this series in is sad as once again this years we loose some of the best written female characters on this show which makes me sad. I cannot wait to see if all these theory's come true or not as I believe the writers will end with a bang.

EPISODE GRADE: A- (MVP: Rose Byrne)
