Channel 4 first started broadcasting in Britain on Tuesday 2nd November 1982, and in 2012 the channel would be celebrating its 30th anniversary, and as part of these proceedings came this countdown programme, one of the things they are best known for doing, listing thirty of the category of programmes they are also best known for doing. This show counts down the thirty greatest, best known, most watched and funniest comedy programmes that Channel 4 have created and shown over the thirty years since launching, and the order was decided by a vote on the channel website by the British public.
