Goofs

The trivia states that this is the first time that the VW belonging to Monroe is seen, also it's colour is cream not yellow. In the pilot episode, the VW is seen on the driveway when Nick first spots Monroe's house. The VW is definitely yellow. See more »

Grimms and Reapers
13 January 2017 | by tenshi_ippikiookamiSee all my reviews

The first episode of the second season of "Grimm" is fun and it keeps things going after the last episode of the first season. It is a little bit slow, though, its pace suffering from all the story-lines is trying to keep going.

Nick and Kimura's showdown is interrupted by... Nick's mother. Kimura ends in prison, and Nick with a conversation with his mother. Captain Renard is not very happy with the mess he has in his hands. And a new enemy is close by. And let's not forget Juliette...

The episode does a good job of keeping things going while giving enough time to everyone (ok, almost, poor Hank). The effects are still a little bit shoddy, but acceptable, and sometimes makes all look too fake. And the pace comes and goes, with way too many story-lines right now going on. However, the acting and direction help overcome its shortcomings. With so much going on, it will be normal if the viewer gets a little bit lost. The background and stories, though, keep making "Grimm"'s story more and more interesting. Let's hope it doesn't become too messy, though.
