This is my second favorite episode.
Full of action, and despite a few hickups, well balanced. If they ended "Merlin" with this episode the show would be much better in my book.

Merlin approaches his destiny

More now than ever this really is Merlin's story, he even gets to meet his father who helps him to understand what he has to do in order to save the kingdom. Some fairly dramatic battle scenes occur although we only get to see half of them as this is a two parter. Who will finally survive and what will happen to them? In some ways Merlin has always been his own worst enemy as his actions have often resulted in harm coming to others often a little naively as he does not always appear to be aware of the consequences of his own actions. Will he do the right thing this time?
