the movie revolves around dileep's character who is appointed assistant to mamta's character.the boss starts bossing around until a certain situation occurs that forces the boss to work with her assistant,which the assistant uses to take a bit of revenge(in a funny way).my boss is a movie where you can just sit back and laugh till the end of the movie.the film is great for watching with friends and family.there are no out of the ordinary twists in the story or any thing like that,but still a great movie.both dileep and mamta have done quite well along with the other actors.as a whole,lots of funny moments await you in theater and i promise you won't regret watching this movie.

Manu Varma (Dileep) comes from Kerala to Mumbai to work in a IT firm as an executive secretary to Priya (Mamta). Manu struggles in work life as Priya is too bossy and unsympathetic. One day, Priya an Australian citizen lands in some visa issues and to avoid deportation she lies to the authorities that she and Manu are going to get married. Offered high employment by priya's rival Matthew Abraham (Anand) to keep Priya away from office for 30 days and to extract revenge on Priya, Manu makes her come with him to his home in Kerala. There he hilariously makes Priya to do things in his way. Rest of the movie is how they like each other.
It's a remake of The Proposal with Malayalam flavour added in it. While proposal was female centric film, my boss is male centric. And in my boss, the office life is shown in detail in the first half, whereas in proposal hardly 10-15 minutes was spent on it. Screenplay was well adapted suiting Malayalam audience. Film has decent fun in first half surrounding the office where shajohn is the star. But the real fun begins in second half when the story shifts from Mumbai to Kerala with Tom and Jerry kind of play between Dileep and Mamta. Their chemistry is good on screen. After the enthinenu ariyilla song comes, the film turns serious though not melodramatic. It's bearable in first watch but when you come to rewatch then you will stop after the song, because all the comedy is over. The production values are quite cheap giving you a serial feel.
On the whole, my boss is a very well made adaptation of proposal by jeethu Joseph suitable to Malayalam audience and making it into a typical Dileep entertainer. Though production values are little bad, the writing covers up the flaws.

"My Boss" is a very good Film. The film's plot revolves around Priya who asks her assistant, Manu, to pretend to be her fiance to secure a promotion. Already frustrated with her cruel treatment, Manu accepts the offer to take revenge in his own humorous way.
Dilip and Mamta have managed to deliver what was expected from them. All the characters have been developed quite well. Script is nice, and it is Jeethu Joseph's Screenplay keeps the story engaging, and brisk narration pace ensures the involment of the audience. It is comedy which is the real highlight of the Film, and the entire cast deserves accolodes.
Jeethu Joseph's direction skills is clearly visible throughout the films, and the editing is also very good. Music, composed by Sejo John and M. Jayachandran features good songs, which enhances the beauty of the Film. Overall it's a must watch film.
My Rating: 8/10 Verdict: Very Good.

My Boss Is Funny But Vague, Stupid & An ugly Adaptation!

Actually, I love both the lead actors but the fact this story is taken from a Hollywood flick, THE PROPOSAL, I was disappointed by the remake.
it has a very large share of funny moments and Dileep is amazing at those time and even Mamata is bootylicious and perfect for the role as his boss. But what flawed in this movie was its vague storyline, idiotic screenplay and a near to poor ending. What was easily being a funny ride since the beginning turned out into a melodrama and then things turned ugly. I was taken aback how the character of the boss turned into a pussy cat for no reason whatsoever. If you are a serious cinema watcher, you WILL not like this movie.
Saikumar and Kalabhavan will tickle your bone, but My Boss is just below average with a very pathetic and expected ending.
