Sex & Nudity

  • There are some drawings of naked women drawn by a charachter. Not graphic.
  • There are a number of humorous sexual references made throughout the series, mostly moderate from a character named Kev.
  • Kev appears nude in episode 2, but is also blurred.
  • In episode 5, a character gives a mild- moderate but comical description of another man's penis.

Violence & Gore

  • Three nursing home residents die peacefully in separate episodes. Nothing graphic is shown.
  • In one episode Dougie is electrocuted but instantly recovers. Very funny.

Profanity

  • With the exception of the final episode, fuck is spoken about 1-3 times per episode.
  • The word shit is spoken occasionally.
  • Other words like cock, twat, and cunt, are all spoken at least once in the series.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Kev is often seen drinking a can of beer.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Season 2 is much sadder and more emotional than season 1.
  • A typical episode has an emotional scene. Episodes featuring the death of a resident are the most emotionally intense, with different characters reflecting on the recently deceased and on life in general.
  • One of the residents Lizzie suffers with severe Alzheimers and scenes focused on her can be upsetting

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Geoff and kev get into a fight after he sprayed a can of pop onto him and kev sticks up for him. Geoff pushes kev and Derek starts choking Geoff but the fight is broken up.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • In episode S2:E5 Derek loves this dog and it gets a disease in its kidney and eventually dies. You see Derek crying this is very emotional and because Derek has autism he offers to give the dog his kidney. But of cause he can't. Probably the most saddest episode in the series.
