Featured review
This film started off with an interesting story. A single mother and a couple are called in for a school conference to discuss a disturbing situation that occurred between their sons. It goes downhill from there. During the conference between the parents and the teachers/administrators of the school, the adults randomly laugh hysterically, break into sobs, and, on one regrettable occasion, burst into an extended interpretive dance number (dragging in the school janitor for good measure). One teacher's nose starts inexplicably dripping blood at regular intervals, but as she never seems to expect this, there are long, drawn-out scenes where she pats her pocks and attempts to stem the flow of blood with her hands. The school fire alarm goes off at random intervals. At one chaotic moment an orgy seems about to commence. Near the end, there is a long scene that takes place outside, in a rainstorm, with no dialogue (how artsy!). The bizarre/nonsensical scenes go on and on and on. It's a big mess. If it was going to devolve into random nonsense, why begin with a seemingly coherent storyline? The film is going to lose everyone along the way, so better begin badly so the viewer doesn't waste nearly two hours of their lives hoping for some sanity.
