What was supposed to be the holiday of a lifetime for two young German tourists in 1983, a camping expedition through America's great untamed Northwest, ended brutally for them when they were murdered. RCMP, without leads for six years, targeted as the killer a Canadian named Andy Rose and obtained a dubious confession from him in a "Mr. Big" sting operation. Later, DNA evidence would clear Rose, but not before he had spent almost ten years in prison and his case exposed another shocking failure of Canadian justice.
