Women’s History Month may be over, but that doesn’t mean that women aren’t leading many of Hulu’s top picks for April. The month begins with the premiere of Vanderpump Villa, a Hulu Original reality series that follows Lisa Vanderpump and the hand-selected staff members employed at her lavish French estate, Chateau Rosabelle. This next chapter in the Vanderpump saga is sure to be full of drama, decadence, and debauchery as the staff caters to Vanderpump, her wealthy guests, and their own desires.
Hulu Original Under the Bridge, based on the 1997 true-crime novel of the same name, also premieres this month. This limited series follows the investigation of Reena Virk’s disappearance –the fourteen-year-old left to meet some friends and never returned home. Starring Riley Keough and Academy Award nominee Lily Gladstone, Under the Bridge has all the makings of a true-crime hit. Rounding out this month,...

If you haven’t taken the leap to bundle Disney+ and Hulu, it might be time. Streaming is only getting more expensive and competitive, and the enticing bundle (which also includes ESPN) might be a version of cable TV, but it’s also just cost efficient. Disney+ and Hulu are so intertwined that their monthly listing updates come in the same email — and as such, we decided to compile them here for you in the same list.
Whether you have Disney+ or Hulu, or both (and the IndieWire staff has weighed on our favorites), each has its benefits. Disney has the family-friendly titles, the Star Wars and Marvel (new episodes of “The Bad Batch” and “X-Men: 97” continue through April), while Hulu is the place to catch FX originals and network episodes. Both streamers have the rights to distribute National Geographic titles, which are well worth exploring along with the rest of the library.

If you've been tuning into Lifetime's latest Ripped From The Headlines True Crime slate, you know that they've been putting forward some powerful films.
From Sarah Drew's How She Caught a Serial Killer to Luke Macfarlane's chilling and scandalous Amish Stud: The Eli Weaver Story and Meagan Good's Buying Back My Daughter, there hasn't been a shortage of strong performances and storytelling when capturing these real accounts.
But the most highly anticipated of the slate yet is the two-part Murdaugh Murders movie event starring the incomparable Bill Pullman.
We can say with certainty that it's the most powerful of the slate yet and a movie event that everyone will be talking about.
It's why we were truly fortunate enough to speak with accomplished veteran director Greg Beeman about Murdaugh Murders: The Movie and collaborating with Bill Pullman.
When taking on this project, Beeman shared that they...

Lifetime delivers a positively scintillating tale with this true crime drama.
Not only has Luke Macfarlane, notable Hallmark Heartthrob, switched networks starring and serving as an executive producer in Amish Stud: The Eli Weaver Story, but he transforms into something unrecognizable, embodying Weaver.
If there was even for a second an iota of doubt about Macfarlane's range as an actor, one needn't look any further than his chilling and nauseating performance of an individual one can only describe as a manipulative monster.
The strength in this film, and there are many things worthy of accolades, is in Macfarlane's performance.
He becomes this whole other person at the drop of a dime, fully capturing that of the narcissistic and sociopathic Eli Weaver in all of his notoriety.
One thing that comes through crystal clear is how charismatic, manipulative, cunning, selfish, and apathetic this man is. It's appalling to see Eli in...

My, how time flies. Here we are in the last quarter of 2023, and nothing is as we expected it would be.
With two strikes this year (one still in progress), our beloved fall content slate is eviscerated. The good news is that we’ve got a lot of unexpected broadcast shows, as well as cable and streaming shows beginning in October, so we still have a lot to share!
And being spooky season, we’ve also put together a full list of Halloween-related content for you in a special What to Watch dropping later this afternoon. We won’t leave you high and dry even if our regular content escapes us!

Luke Macfarlane is well known for his comedy and Hallmark offerings, while Kirsten Vangsness is well known for hunting down the bad guys on Criminal Minds.
The pair join forces for Amish Stud: The Eli Weaver Story, which finds the couple plotting a murder.
The Lifetime original movie premieres Saturday, September 30, at 8 p.m. on the cabler and focuses on an affair gone wrong.
The flick revisits the story of a man who called himself "Amish Stud" and his plan with his mistress to murder his wife, to the horror of his conservative Amish community.
Amish Stud is based on the book A Killing in Amish Country: Sex, Betrayal and a Cold-Blooded Murder by bestselling authors Gregg Olsen and Rebecca Morris.
"Devoted to her husband, kids, and faith, Barbara Weaver (Miranda MacDougall) was content leading a traditional life in her conservative Ohio Amish community -- with no modern conveniences," the logline teases.
