Sex & Nudity

  • Very good stage performance of the play. Somewhat bloody, but nothing too extreme.
  • (Deleted. Personal opinions about ratings are not appropriate for the Parents Guide.)

Violence & Gore

  • Some moderate violence following Shakespeare's play closely. Nothing too graphic.
  • The scene where Macbeth murders Duncan is shown in the background, and he and Lady Macbeth are later seen soaked in blood.
  • Banquo is seen assaulted by murderers. He is stabbed multiple times and some blood is seen. He later returns as a ghost, soaked in blood, to haunt Macbeth.
  • The most disturbing scene features the murder of MacDuff's family. Not overly graphic, but it is sad and disturbing. Many people, including a child, are stabbed.
  • Very intense battle scene at the end with sword fights and bloodshed

  • None, except moderate alcohol consumption by adults

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The entire performance is very dark and intense.
