- Brian Cox: The moon. To get there you have to fly at 25,000 miles per hour. You have to travel a quarter of a million miles there, and a quarter of a million miles back. And when you return to Earth, your space ship has to survive re-entry temperatures of two and half thousand degrees centigrade.
