Like the comic series, the characters in the television show almost always refer to the setting as "Hell's Kitchen". This name ties into the title character's persona, and he is sometimes referred to as "The Devil of Hell's Kitchen". Hell's Kitchen, also known as Clinton, is a neighborhood on the west side of midtown in the borough of Manhattan in New York City.
