Mandy Moore Says She Probably Cried More Shooting ‘This Is Us’ Than You Did Watching It
This story about Mandy Moore first appeared in the Comedy/Drama/Actors issue of TheWrap’s Emmy magazine.

Mandy Moore went through a lot this year. Well, Rebecca Pearson went through a lot — Moore just had to live through it while portraying the many iterations of the character on NBC’s “This Is Us.” It’s a job that has had her regularly breaking down on screen since the show first debuted in the fall of 2016.

Now, two seasons in, creator Dan Fogelman has yet to let the story well run dry, supplying an ever-increasing number of sob-worthy moments. This, of course, includes the story of how family patriarch Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia) died at a young age, which was finally revealed to viewers in a special post-Super Bowl episode. That particular show drew even higher ratings than the Nielsen darling already gets on an average Tuesday.

Canneseries: Rai’s ‘The Hunter’ Falls Prey to Amazon Prime Video (Exclusive)
Rome – Canneseries competition entry “The Hunter” is being hailed as a watershed production for Italian pubcaster Rai and certainly stands out as the most innovative show among a Rai content package just picked up by Amazon Prime Video.

About a real Palermo prosecutor with a killer instinct for tracking down top Mafiosi, ”The Hunter” is produced by Rome-based Cross Productions — which is controlled by Germany’s Beta Film — in tandem with Rai Fiction. The 12-episode “Hunter” skein reconstructs the vigorous reaction prompted in 1993 by the 1992 bomb murders of anti-Mafia magistrates Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino. An anti-Mafia effort of unprecedented scope was unleashed that led to hundreds of arrests and marked a turning point in Italy’s fight against Cosa Nostra.

This pivotal hunt is narrated through multiple prisms but mainly through that of young and ambitious provincial prosecutor Saverio Barone, played by Francesco Montanari (“Crime Novel”). His character is

Another month, another Wesley Snipes film. He sure is on the comeback trail now right? Ok, maybe not, especially given that this, like Final Recall, has headed direct to DVD. To be fair though, the “another month, another…” could also apply to WWE studios, who seem to have gone back to churning out direct to market films much like when they first stepped into the world of film production. Following the usual standard of having one of the many WWE Superstars take a break from the wrestling ring and appear on-screen, Armed Response features the “Kingslayer” himself, Seth Rollins, in a supporting role – yes, a supporting role.
