Marvel and ABC have hired feature film director Roel Reine to helm the first two IMAX episodes of their new series The Inhumans. Reine has worked on a ton of B-movie film projects such as Death Race 2, The Marine 2, The Lost Tribe, The Scorpion King 3, The Man with the Iron Fists 2, Hard Target 2, and others.
The list of films should give you a good idea of what we can expect from The Inhumans. Those films definitely aren't the greatest movies in the world, but some of them have been fun and entertaining. He's probably not the director I would have gone with, but let's see what he ends up doing with the property and the characters. He must've had a great pitch meeting with Marvel, otherwise he wouldn't have landed the gig.

Common just found himself a rather un-common role. The rapper/actor will be playing Robert Sand in the TV version of Black Samurai, this according to Variety. The yet-unsold show is based on the 1974 book of the same title. In 1977, that book became the basis for the movie Black Samurai starring martial arts legend Jim Kelly in the role of Sand. In it, Sand is a secret agent for D.R.A.G.O.N. (Defense Reserve Agency Guardian Of Nations) and he kicks a lot of ass. According to Variety, show producer Andre Gaines described Sand as “like black Jason Bourne.” The program is being executive produced by Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, a well-known fan of the martial arts. The rapper recently produced The Man with the Iron Fists 2 and in 2005, he was Ep on Blood of a Champion. As for what network the show will air on,...

I was a huge fan of the first film in what now looks to be a burgeoning new martial arts film franchise. The Man With the Iron Fists was everything I love about martial arts movie and was obviously a labour of love for its star and Wu_Tang Clan member RZA. Sadly, despite the out-pouring of love from wuxia fans and internet geeks like myself, the film did not perform as well as I’m sure the studio would’ve liked. But that doesn’t stop the franchise from continuing as a direct-to-market series – and so we have The Man With the Iron Fists 2.

When RZA – co-founder of Wu-Tang Clan – stepped behind the lens for the first time back in 2012, he introduced the moviegoing audience to a pulse-pounding actioner in the form of The Man with the Iron Fists. Fast forward a little over two years and we’re now standing on the verge of the sequel’s arrival on DVD and Blu-Ray, and We Got This Covered has an exclusive clip to share with you for The Man with the Iron Fists 2.
Picking up the pieces from its predecessor, the martial arts follow-up will once again center around Thaddeus (played by the aforementioned RZA), who finds himself drawn into battle once more despite his best efforts to put his violent past behind him.
Rounding out the international ensemble are Dustin Nguyen (22 Jump Street), Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (47 Ronin), Eugenia Yuan (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend), Pim Bubear (Ninja: Shadow of a Tear...

Just like "Jarhead 2: Field Of Fire," we're not sure why these decisions are made, or by whom, but for some reason, Universal has decided it's in their best interest to make a sequel to "The Man With The Iron Fists." The much hyped martial arts flick, directed by genre enthusiast and Wu-Tang Clan member RZA, was a resounding disappointment and box office failure, but at the very least, this followup includes his involvement. Titled "The Man With The Iron Fists: Sting Of The Scorpion," Roel Reiné — a specialist at this sort of thing with "The Marine 2," "Death Race 3: Inferno," and "The Scorpion King 3: Battle For Redemption" among his credits — directs the movie co-written by RZA and John Jarrell ("Romeo Must Die") that seems to involve more gangs fighting each other. There are no actual plot details, which hardly matters, since the first movie barely made any sense anyway,...
