Storyline

All looks lost for the Rebellion against the Empire as they learn of the existence of a new super weapon, the Death Star. Once a possible weakness in its construction is uncovered, the Rebel Alliance must set out on a desperate mission to steal the plans for the Death Star. In the German release of both this film and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983), the same actress Alexandra Lange dubbed Mon Mothma's voice, despite the two movies being made 34 years apart. Mon Mothma is about 4 years younger in Rogue One than in Return of the Jedi. See more »

Goofs

A giant Jedi statue, lying in the sand, is at first lying on its left side (like in Trailer #2), but zooming out, it is lying on its right side. As it may look like this on casual observation, there are actually at least two toppled Jedi statues in the vicinity. The one the group passes at the beginning of the scene can be seen in the scene's very last shot to the far left of the frame. See more »

Hidden in the credits is the title "Keeper of the Holocron." A Holocron is a cube-like artifact used by the Jedi to store information that were first mentioned in the Dark Horse comic book series 'Dark Empire.
