A must-watch for comedy nerds
beewcarsmells14 July 2015
If you love stand-up comedy, especially the "alternative" comedy scene of today, this show is tailor-made for you. Jonah and Kumail are a great comedy team, and wonderful stand ups in their own right. They've been hosting this weekly show since 2010, inviting some of the biggest names, and some you may not have heard of (but should!), to perform for a dedicated audience of comedy fans. The show is split between what happens on stage, and what happens in the green room. Viewers are a fly on the wall for some hilarious conversation between some of the funniest minds working today. Often there'll be comedians/actors hanging out that aren't performing on the show, they just are there to hang out and crack each other up. It's hard to pick which part of the show I like more. The only complaint I have about this show is it's too short. It should be at least an hour-long. I believe some of the comedians don't want all of their material shared, which I definitely respect and understand.

So infantile and stupid I've never laughed once

How is this garbage still on? A bunch of misfits yelling at each other thinking they're funny. The odd single stand up is ok. What makes this show really bad is Kumail who is so annoying and the opposite of funny, just stay off the stage and keep to introducing the comedians. You must really need to be wasted to appreciate this type of infantile and stupid humor. 1/10

Why did they think this was a good idea?

I love comedy. I love Kumail and Jonah. Found some really fun comedians because of this show. Having said that, I don't understand why good comedians, who obviously understand timing, would think it was a good idea to break up people's sets to show us what's going on in the green room. Both parts are funny, but by editing them together just prevents either from really hitting their stride.
