- No sex scenes are shown, but there are before and after scenes. Girls have their chests covered and boys are shown from the waist up.
- A lot of making out between multiple people in different scenes, heavy flirting, implied sex, and innuendo in episode 3.
- A few kiss scenes between characters but nothing major
- A fight scene is shot in a club and naturally they're women in some skimpy outfits and people are seen drinking alcohol in the background

- A fight breaks out and multiple shots depict stabbings and lots of blood is involved.
- A man is being burnt every time he talks of a specific subject. He is shown in pain as his skin grows red and irritated. Another scene includes multiple men with their eyes and mouths sewn shut. This is quite disturbing. The main character has a sword dangled above her head and this causes her forehead to bleed.
- There is moderate fight scenes in most, if not all, episodes. These tend to have limited blood/gore with a few exceptions in some season 2 episodes.
- As the seasons progress, fight scenes get gorier and more blood is shown. There is a lot of throat-slashing and stabbing. Be more cautious when watching seasons 2 and 3.
- A character has his heart grabbed from behind and his guts go flying out his chest and torso.

- Most used words are "damn" and "hell." "B*tch" is used a few times throughout the series.

- Two of the characters begin dating one another but they eventually find out they are brother and sister. It is considered incest so they cut all ties with each other. It is later revealed that they are not blood related.
Violence & Gore
- There are vampires that drink blood and kill. A female vampire goes on a killing spree.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
- A main character becomes addicted to a vampire substance during the first half of season 2. She recovers during the early second half of the second season.
