Rocky, a young woman wanting to start a better life for her and her sister, agrees to take part in the robbery of a house owned by a wealthy blind man with her boyfriend Money and their friend Alex. But when the blind man turns out to be a more ruthless adversary than he seems, the group must find a way to escape his home before they become his latest victims.
In contrast to his previous work on Evil Dead (2013), director Fede Alvarez decided this movie would have less blood, an original storyline, more suspense, and no dependence on spooky supernatural elements - which he felt was currently overused. See more »
Despite being beaten to a pulp and having numerous visual cuts and bruises on her face and neck among other places, there are absolutely no marks on her as she and her little sister are waiting in at the airport just a day or so later. It's evident that not more than a day or two had passed since the encounter, as the story was just being aired on the news. See more »

Tension can be hard to build in films but this film has it buckets. It's gripping and almost compulsive. The acting by the main protagonist and the antagonist is good. There really isn't a great deal to the story but its anxious and absorbing.
