As tired of the waiting , he moves to the island Gran Canaria , there Gabriel meets Helena (Juana Acosta) , Cordelia's friend and former housemate , because the two are required to identify the only one corpse not identified clearly . As Cordelia was one of the cult followers and allegedly missing from a mysterious sect led by a strange woman called Heidi (Ana Gracia) . Realizing that Cordelia isn't the corpse they see, Gabriel moves to Helena's house in order to wait news from Inspector Santana (Goya Toledo) . Later on , Gabriel will risk his own life in the name of his sister , there he joins Inspector Santana deciding investigate by their own risks the dangerous sect and their members, attempting to discover what caused the suicide and if Cordelia could be still alive and trying to know the truth about the amazing deeds . But someone else is also interested in her , someone powerful and nasty who will stop at nothing to avoid the investigation . Then weird events take place , such as robbing , kidnapping and killing . You must hear the silence .

An eerie and mysterious plot about a mass suicide of a sect who lived in the island of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria , and who jump of a cliff to crash against the sea . This astonishing suicide or ? homicide ? is just the starting point for an Assistant District Attorney has come to Canary Islands and then things go awry. As the film displays thrills , intrigue , emotion , twists and turns ; imitating the American thriller style . This thriller packs mysteries , emotional thrills , action and suspense . The original as well entertaining premise is overspread across the movie adding some brief conventional pitfalls . This is a highly mysterious and cerebral thriller , filled with plot twists , including an unexpected denouement in its final part . Hitchcock style psychological mystery , being decently made and competently directed , though it has some failures and gaps . It turns out to be a twisted thriller , being pretty well directed , though sometimes fails and it has a lot of turns . However , being entertaining for its continuous suspense , but slow-moving , too . This flick has some powerful , rousing images from Canary Islands and very well photographed . This interesting and intriguing story is a passionate retelling and a touching suspenseful drama based on the novel by Lucía Etxebarría , being adapted and screenplay by the director herself , Andrés Martorell and Natxo López. This moving as well as strong story is an emotive recounting and a stirring thriller , including violence , deaths and plot twists . Nice acting by Daniel Grao as a District Attorney who receiving a calling where he is noticed that his younger sister has died . And Goya Toledo as a Police woman very implicated in the investigation after the disappearance of a cop who she secretly infiltrated in the sect to find evidences of illegal activities. Along with the beautiful actresses Ingrid Garcia Jonsson and Juana Acosta married to actor Ernesto Alterio . Support cast is pretty good , such : as Ana Gracia , Ciro Miro , Josean Bengoetxea , Jon Kortajarena and the veteran Xabier Elorriaga .

Perceptible as well as thrilling musical score by Angel Illaramendi , who has composed a lot of successes , such as : Son of the bride , Luna De Avellaneda , Luvia en Zapatos , Yoyes , El Celo , Los Borgia , among others . Including a spotless pictorial cinematography by Javier Agirre . He makes a photography with juicy atmosphere , being filmed on location in Gran Canaria , Islas Canarias . Cameraman Javier Agirre is deemed to be one of the best Spanish cameramen with a long artistic career . The motion picture was well produced and being professionally directed by Helena Taberna ; however , the film doesn't work at all and packs sluggish scenes , flaws , gaps and many images reveal nothing . The film achieved some prizes , such as : Austin Film Festival 2016 Winner Jury Award Dark Matters Feature Natxo López (writer) ,Andrés Martorell (writer) ,Helena Taberna (writer) . San Diego International Film Festival 2016 Winner Audience Award Best International Film. Filmmaker Helena Taberna who was born in Alsasua , Pamplona , directed a series of award-winning movies firmly establishing him as one of the best Spanish filmmaker women . She has shot shorts , documentary : Nagore , Alsausa 1936 , Extranjeras , Varados and his most successful picture results to be Yoyes , and she is nowadays filming El Contenido del Silencio . Rating : 6 out of 10 . Passable and acceptable thriller that will appeal to Spanish cinema fans .

I'd say that it's not gay enough.

Warning: Spoilers
I'd argue that the film's not that well written, as both "lesbians" in this story go on to have sex with men. What's supposed to be the "message" there? They just hadn't met the "right guys" yet? And is the goofy ending supposed to mean that the long-awaited baby is the cult's new Gustav/Heidi? Really?

Just a little to gay

A well written story ruined by the introduction of lesbianism and sexual tension. For some reason movie makers can't seem to make a movie which sells a story line rather than a message. This one was loaded with them.
