Breakline shows a sign that the 1st season might get better

Despite not having read the books, the show got me interested so far. Sure it had standard fantasy cliches and dialog in certain areas, but it's world-building, CGI, and an interesting cast of actors the best coming from Manu Bennett and John Rhys Davies made it pretty good in my eyes. Is Breakline a perfect episode? Nope, but it's an improvement over episode 6 and 5, which were pretty decent but not without their problems. It does have the same problems I've already stated, but it's a sign where the 1st season might get better thanks to some really good acting, good CGI, and a decent enough storyline to keep things interesting. So, overall, pretty good.
