Robert Durst used Doe-Eyed contact lenses during the filming of the documentary to make him appear innocent like a baby deer.
Robert Durst agreed to be interviewed after he saw Andrew Jarecki's film All Good Things (2010), and wanted to give his side of the story. Durst seeing the film, led to Jarecki being contacted to create this documentary.
