Full List of Canceled TV Shows for 2016
May has always been an important month for both television viewers and executives alike, with fans watching the season (or series) finales of their favorite shows, and executives deciding which shows to cancel and renew for the upcoming fall season. Every major network will hold their upfront presentations starting next week, and ahead of those big events, ABC, CBS, Fox and The CW canceled several of their programs yesterday. We have all the details below. When this story was first posted earlier today, NBC hadn't yet canceled any of their shows, but now we have word that several of their programs will not be coming back.

Deadline reports that ABC canceled the most shows yesterday with six series getting the ax, some of which came as quite the surprise. Agent Carter was cancelled after its second season, despite a report that surfaced in March claiming the network was close to issuing a renewal.

Fox Cancels 'The Grinder,' 'Grandfathered,' Two More Comedies

It was no laughing matter over at Fox on Thursday: The network cancelled four freshman comedies.

Like fellow broadcaster ABC, Fox decided to clean house in preparation for the 2016-2017 season, and that meant parting ways with low-rated series "The Grinder," "Grandfathered," "Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life," and "Bordertown."

The latter two shows were misdeason series, and viewed as unlikely candidates for renewal anyway. (Deadline reports that both shows "had been written off awhile ago," which seems harsh, if not inaccurate.) But "The Grinder" and "Grandfathered" were seen as promising additions to the Fox slate, and the network was strongly considering renewing at least one of them.

According to Deadline, "Grandfathered" did marginally better in the ratings than "The Grinder," and producers had been in discussions with Fox about "tweaking" the series for a potential season two (whatever that means). It was neck-and-neck between the two shows for a

Fox Cancels "Grinder" & Three Others

Fox has opted to cancel all four of its freshmen comedies one of it s freshman dramas from last season.

The Rob Lowe-led "The Grinder," the John Stamos-led "Grandfathered," the mid-season launched "Cooper Barrett's Guide To Surviving Life" and the animated "Bordertown" have all been cancelled. All four of the laughers had been weak in the ratings with only "Grandfathered" having a slight edge.

Similarly they've opted to cancel the Frankenstein-inspired "Second Chance" starring Rob Kazinsky. That really only leaves Fox's "Sleepy Hollow" up in the air - a show which, like "Castle," has lost its female lead which means its chances of renewal are slim.

The Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life TV show on Fox has been officially cancelled after its first and only season. This comes as a shock to no one who has been following the low-rated freshman comedy series. Fox previously demoted the show out of primetime, then wiped it completely from the schedule during May sweeps, replacing it with reruns of The Simpsons.

There is no word from Deadline, on whether Fox will burn off the remaining episodes of Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life, but that seems unlikely. Thirteen episodes have been produced. “How to Survive Your Parents’ Visit,” guest starring Alan Ruck, Jane Kaczmarek, and

Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life: Cancelled? Is Tonight the Fox Series Finale?

[caption id="attachment_47326" align="aligncenter" width="590"] courtesy of Fox/caption]

The Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life TV show seems to have been cancelled by Fox. The show, starring Jack Cutmore-Scott, Meaghan Rath, James Earl, Charlie Saxton, Justin Bartha, and Liza Lapira, is off the Fox schedule.  A rerun of The Simpsons, "Lisa the Veterinarian," has now been scheduled to air in Cooper Barrett's 7:30pm timeslot, on May 8th. As reported last week, the network had already preempted the episode once slated for April 24th.

Fox ordered 13 episodes of Cooper Barrett's Guide but tonight's episode, "How to Survive Your Parents' Visit," guest starring Alan Ruck, Jane Kaczmarek, and Juicy J (Jordan Houston), is only the 10th to make it to air. It could be Cooper Barrett's TV series finale. Watch three previews, below. The first season finale was originally scheduled for May 8th, but the preemptions have ruled that out.

Will Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life survive its first season? Fox is preempting the April 24th episode. It will be replaced by a rerun of the The Simpsons, season 27 episode, "Paths of Glory." The preemption comes just weeks after Fox moved Cooper Barrett from 8:30pm to 7:30 and shifted Bob's Burgers to its old slot. None of this is good news. Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life is likely to be cancelled.

A freshman sitcom, Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life is told from the perspective of Cooper Barrett (Jack Cutmore-Scott). Newly out of college,
