Did You Know?

Mellie's bid for Virginia senator goes right to a general election, though the runoff process would have involved primaries first. And during these primaries she likely would have been challenged by another Republican, who would have lambasted her slight ties to Virginia and questioned whether the President chose Susan Ross as Vice President in order to open up a senate seat geographically contiguous to D.C. where his wife could conceivably run for office. Pretending there was no primary offered the writers a way to ignore these problems. See more »

Mellie Grant: [laughing together] Mr. Bainbridge!
Rowan Pope: Please, I am not Mr. Bainbridge. Not to you. Call me Damascus.
Mellie Grant: Damascus, it's so lovely of you to take time out of your busy schedule to sit down with me.
Rowan Pope: No, no, no, no, no, no, no. It's lovely of you to sit with me. I am so happy to be here with you in person. I am a fan. You are by far the most interesting first lady we have ever had. I enjoyed it
8 June 2015 | by Paulo173See all my reviews

I enjoyed this episode. I think the writers have deliberately left lots of story lines open. It was great to see Command get his comeuppance at last. However I can't see a man of his resources being held for long. Will Jake return? (Hopefully). How could Olivia let him go? We know it's not the end for Cyrus, Mellie, Rowan and Miya. Will Huck curb his murderous ways? Will David and Abby hook up again?..... The only sour note was the vomit inducing final scenes between Olivia and Fitz.....

Does anyone really like this relationship? Everyone I speak to seems to think Olivia and Jake are the perfect match! Come on writers, if you don't want to lose viewers sort this out! Looking forward to the new series.
