Storyline

Liam learns from Jasper that Cyrus has a double, but Cyrus explains that he uses the man when he is having treatment for cancer. Cyrus also takes revenge on Holloway for destroying his alibi. Eleanor gets back with old flame Beck and acquires a new bodyguard in the older James Hill. Jasper makes it clear that he intends to resume his relationship with the princess, hinting as much to Beck during a party. The Prime Minister dies on the eve of the new Act of Succession and Helena needs her aide Rachel to help cover up his death (and propensity for wearing women's undies) until the bill is passed. She summons acting Prime Minister Rani, who shows herself to be a woman who has no intention of being subservient to the queen. Written by don @ minifie-1

Trivia

The royal tradition of taking a member of parliament (MP) "hostage" is a real one in the United Kingdom. Each year, the State Opening of Parliament ceremony is held in the House of Lords to officially begin each session of Parliament. At this ceremony, the reigning monarch reads a statement (referred to as "The Queen's/King's Speech") that outlines the government's plans for the upcoming parliamentary year. Before the monarch arrives at the State Opening of Parliament, the Royal Household symbolically take an MP as a "hostage" in exchange for the monarch's safe return. The "hostage" (usually a Government whip) is taken to Buckingham Palace for the duration of the ceremony and entertained by Palace staff. See more »

Goofs

During the opening of parliament the prime minister shows Cyrus the death warrant for King Charles I. The warrant calls him King Charles, but in the actual death warrant he's called Charles Stewart, not King. See more »

Prince Liam: [In a terrible American accent] Yes, I can
Jasper: OK. Here we go.
Prince Liam: [Continues in a bad accent] My name is Frank J Gallagher and I'm well, I'm an American, that's what I am.
