Sex & Nudity

- In dialog, a woman mentions that she is a virgin. There is a brief conversation about making out. A man says he's gay and won't have sex with a woman. In the soundtrack, one lengthy song addresses sex acts and body parts in blunt, vulgar terms, and mentions "I like to bang the dead."
- A woman's breast are seen down her shirt in one scene in a non-sexual context.
- Young woman masturbates in a toilet.

- The main character has sex for the first time with a man. While doing so, she attempts multiple times to bite him, but ends up biting her own arm instead while climaxing.

Violence & Gore

- Violence includes intimidating, forceful hazing and trashing of rooms. A woman resists unwanted groping. A trucker intimidates another man through physical contact. Justine, a vegetarian, submits to coercion and eats a raw rabbit kidney, but this is not depicted in a gross manner. One character presses a ski pole to another's head, considering killing her.
- Human gore includes the severing of a finger, showing the wound and oozing blood. More than one person bites others on various body parts, producing blood and leaving scars, sometimes eating a little. We see a little blood dripping from a nose. A male corpse is seen without clothes. A man removes his shirt, showing large but long-since-healed scars all over his chest and stomach.
- Gore involving animals includes large laboratory specimens bottled in liquid and the chewing of raw fish. In an un-simulated scene, a woman has inserted her gloved arm into a cow's rectum (seen). As she withdraws it, globs of feces fall out of the rectum. A dog licks at a pool of human blood, but we only see the top of its head. In veterinary labs, we see dead dogs and partly dissected cows. A student begins to dissect a dead dog, but we only see a thin line of red flesh.
- During a sex scene, a woman tries to bite a man's arm. She instead bites her own arm and sucks on it, which begins to bleed.
- Some extremely graphic gory images and detail of injury including a finger being bitten off and eaten. Lots of graphic cannibalism.
- During a party scene, a woman licks a man's eye, very graphic but depicted as part of the background.
- The strongest scene depicts the main character nibbling on a human finger, leaving behind blood stains around her mouth.

- People are seen smoking cigarettes perhaps a half-dozen times, including Justine several times. At a party, a pill is passed from one person to another. Alcohol is served at parties; a character drinks enough to black out and not remember some events.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

- No jump scares, but multiple scenes of human gore. Very uncomfortable to watch.
- This movie would be classed as disturbing to average movie watchers. Lots of uncomfortably realistic and disgusting gore.

Sex & Nudity
- There is one brief but graphic instance where she comes back to her room to find the roommate being given fellatio by another guy. The roommate then closes the door and we hear the two moaning. No nudity is seen but the action is very clear.
- Towards the end of the film, the two main characters are shown showering after one of them is shown being covered in blood. Bare breasts are visible
Violence & Gore
- A character intentionally causes an oncoming car to wreck twice, with fatalities. Bloody, gory victims are briefly shown close-up the second time. A character leans into the wreckage and is implied to feed, emerging with bloody lips.
- Justine and her sister Alexia fight, with considerable biting.
- Justine develops a raw, red, scaly rash over several parts of her body. We see a doctor peeling thin sheets of skin off her while treating it. In another scene, we see Justine nibbling on the ends of her hair, then vomiting massive quantities of slimy hair she had eaten.
- Photos of previous freshman classes show the students covered in blood. Later, Justine and classmates are drenched from above with copious amounts of sticky blood, and their stained garments are worn through subsequent scenes over several days or weeks.
- Justine bites part of a man's lip off. Afterward she discovers one of his teeth lodged in her mouth, examines it, and eats it. It crunches.
- The family dog is falsely thought to have developed a taste for human flesh and later we learn that it has been euthanized because of this.
- In another scene, Justine wakes up next to a dead man whose thigh is partially chewed through with raw flesh and bone exposed.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
- On a cell-phone video, Justine is shown very drunk, being enticed by another woman to bite a third person's hand.
