Sex & Nudity

  • A couple is infertile. This is a major plot point of season 1 and is frequently discussed in the early episodes.
  • There are no sex scenes or nudity at all. Only mild references. There are also some romantic conversations but nothing sexual.
  • Season3. A man comes out of a club with two women by his side. It can be implied that they're going to sleep with each other.

Violence & Gore

  • The violence in this show is not frequent. But when it happens it occasionally gets quite bloody and disturbing.
  • Season1. A mobster executes his targets by strangulation using a rope. We see such a scene in two different episodes early in the series. In one of them the victim has a bloody shirt implying he was tortured. Both strangulations happen partly on-screen.
  • Season1. A woman is shot in the chest. She is carried to a house where the bullet is removed by another woman. The surgery is not shown but we see some shots of her bloody wound.
  • Season1. A man is hit by a car. He is then shown with a very bloody face and blood around his body. He dies.
  • Season2. A mobster orders two of his men to fight and if none of them are killed by the other one he will kill them both. The two fight with sword-like weapons until one of them kills his opponent by slitting his throat off-screen. But the mobster then orders the survivors death and he is shot dead by another man. The scene is intense but not bloody.
  • Season2. In a dream sequence a man sees two visions of a woman in his room. They talk for a while and suddenly both visions shoot themselves in the head with visible blood splatter. The scene is shocking but it's a dream and not real.
  • Season2. A man walking in a dark alley is suddenly attacked by four men. We hear him screaming but nothing is shown. Later his bloody dead body is hanged is front of his home where he is found by his frightened wife and children.
  • Season2. An injured hitman is taken to an abandoned place where his ruthless boss is waiting. The man is losing blood and to end his suffering his boss puts a pillow on his face and sits on the pillow. The man struggles until he suffocates and stops moving. Disturbing.
  • Season2. A woman is found dead in a suburban home. She has been killed by her enemies and we see her dead body hung upside down inside the house with her face bloody and severed. A man then digs a grave to bury her in the yard.

Profanity

  • Nothing severe. Just some occasional mild swearings.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One of the side characters is a drug addict. He is present in a few episodes during first 2 seasons and is always under drugs influence.
  • Drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes is constantly shown in the series. A main character smokes and drinks a lot and is shown drunk in some scenes.
  • Drug trafficking is one of the themes of the second and third season.
  • A woman is frequently made drunk by her servant. This makes her behave aggressively and insanely. Once she confronts her husband while heavily under alcohol influence.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Some of the episodes which contain amounts of violence can be regarded intense, while some other episodes are tamer. Many of the main characters die or are killed throughout the series with some of the deaths being emotionally upsetting.
  • The ending of season three is very emotional and sad.

Sex & Nudity

  • Season2. A man begins an affair with one of his servants. Nothing shown but we see the woman enter the mans room and close the door. Sex is made clear later with the woman getting pregnant.
  • There's an attempted rape in the second season. A woman is kidnapped and taken to a basement where she is tied up. Three men are about to rape her but they're interrupted. Nothing important shown.

Violence & Gore

  • Season1. A woman commits suicide in a prison cell. Her lifeless body is shown with a blood pool around her. It is said that she cut her wrists using the sharp edge of paper and a pen.
  • Season1. A shootout happens in a street where a man accidentally shoots a woman dead and then he is shot by a third man. The third man then finds the woman dead and shoots himself in the mouth with brief but graphic blood splatter. Graphic and one of the most disturbing scenes of the whole series.
  • Season1. A number of organized murders occur in one of the last episode. A man is poisoned and is found dead at the dinner table. Two men are shot and killed in front of a police station. Another mans car is stopped and he is shot in the head by a woman. Blood splatters on the cars window. All these scenes happen in a short time and is quite tense.
  • Season2. There's a drive-by shooting where three men are shot with some blood showing. Two of them die instantly but the third one is brought to hospital and survives.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • One of the main characters develops a psychological condition during the first season. She is shown with progressively aggressive behavior and is institutionalized in the second season, becoming a total psychopath. This is handled as a major subject and can be very intense to those sensitive to these issues. Although, she recovers in the third season.
