I don't think you should skip this, it's worth a watch
princesspeaxh30 September 2023
I feel it is worth watching contrary to some of the other reviews, especially if you're binging the series (which I am at a disgustingly fast rate). Yes it's flashbacks, but it's more so a behind the scenes flashback into April and Jackson's relationship and how we got here. It expands on the scenes we saw previously, the aftermath, and shows ones we haven't seen. Shows that follow a 20+ episode season have to have episodes like this to develop all of the characters, especially when there are as many characters as there are in this show. Plus the ending, that is worth waiting for.

At this point I'm writing extra because there's a character limit. Okay thanks for reading bye.

Jackson and April their Turbulent Marriage
ZegMaarJus8 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with Jackson, he shows the divorce paper to April. Jackson and April have a brawl about the divorce with each other. April and Jackson just had sex with each other. Jackson and April secretly got married. April and Jackson had sex on their wedding night. Jackson and April got divorced, they signed the divorce papers. April is pregnant, she tells this to Arizona. Solid Episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 12, this was not that great. This were flashbacks of Jackson and April their relationship and marriage. Expected a higher level of this Episode. But they are divorced, now April is pregnant. How will this turn out now?

well written
MidoriAi24 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Well written to show the genesis of a couple.. something that everyone would like if they're asking to themselves "what went wrong?" April is not the most annoying character of this drama. We can think of Meredith with her obnoxious egoistical way of conduct herself, THE drama queen. If writers write Derek off, they should with her already (this Meredith free chapter was a realm) Don't get me start with Izzie and the last stuff she pulled off to Alex. If you are watching it in a marathon frenzy I think you don't need to be reminded of what went wrong, but in several seasons, you might. and it is not 80% recycled. It showed the past, but everything that we didn't see. April delusional? Most of us are.. In a relationship you have 2 sides of the same coin. Watch this chapter and see if you can understand each side as understandable.

Move along folks. Nothing to see here. 80% recycled footage and nothing really worth a note. Just skip to the last 10 minutes to see the new footage and the point of the story.

Most realistic portrayals of a relationship
annabeth-0783210 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This was one of the most realistic portrayals of an adult complicated relationship . Every marriage goes through a very rough patch after losing a child and this episode shows how diffrent people deal with their grief and how inspite of their love and affection , they choose to end the marriage . The lesson here is " compromise " . This is what april and Jackson lack . They don't exactly know how to be there for eachother and help eachother get through hard times . A LOT OF marriages end because of bad communication . Ans we clearly see how badly they are inlove . But guess love isn't enough, right?

Among the tons of romantic relationships in this series , i believe Japril is the closest to reality so i very much enjoyed this episode.

OVER the stupid Jackson and April relationship ending, JUST BE DONE ALREADY!!!
Dani_8224 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
April and Jackson are in the top 3 worst couples in GA history (second only to Izzy and George IMO). They never should have gotten together, the marriage was terrible writing and immediately the problems started cropping up with April's religious beliefs and Jackson not a believer. ALL of their relationship storylines are terrible, they have no chemistry, and the writers have been dragging out the end of their relationship FOREVER. The writers should have just let April be with Matthew and Jackson with someone else and let those stories develop.

Cannot WAIT until the end of Jackson and April, can't come soon enough.

finally.

Warning: Spoilers
April is single most annoying character since the beginnings of the show. How she managed to not be killed or otherwise written-off from the show is beyond me. Always living within her own delusions and convinced how everything is everyone else's fault. After this episode it is even more clear that on multiple occasions she should have been hospitalised in psychiatric ward. There was never more unconvincing relationship than her and Jessie. Every single moment so forced, that my eyes were spinning - not just rolling inside my head. Finishing this farce was looong overdue.

Not required. Skip it.
Chris01848 November 2021
Just not needed. Recycled footage, almost no focus on actual medical procedures. Could skip this aside from the 'reveal' at the end, but let's face it, you can pick that up in the next episode.

Kepner is ruined for me completely in this episode too. Whiny, whingey, and just a genuinely self-absorbed, terrible person.

Just skip it
theguypersonzx16 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It just drags out Avery and Kepners already dead relationship. Completely uninterested in their dynamic after seeing it already crumble into dust for so long. Derek's death episode is the lowest rated of the series, when It should be this. Its just the same thing reiterated over and over and over.

All you need to know is that they get a divorce which was obvious for the last 10 episodes. It even opens with them about to sign the divorce papers, I wish It just started there and watched the fallout instead of going back constantly and having a reversed timeline.

I've never been more disinterested in an episode as much as this.
