How dare they

Warning: Spoilers
After all of the episodes of this show I have reviewed, I have never given one of them a 1/10, but I simply cannot get on board with this episode. Let's review the failures of this episode:

They tease us with the lobbyist killer body at the end of the last episode and then we get this garbage episode? What a rip off! It's almost as bad as that early season episode when they teased us with the body on the Washington monument. I know they are probably going to get to all of that in the final two episodes but I just wish we weren't still doing these random episodes without a thought out plot. We didn't once mention the lobbyist killer. How is that possible? I thought it was going to maybe be a B plot but no, they are acting like they didn't just dig up a body that can possibly exonerate Zack.

I'm sorry, I REFUSE to accept this story line for Wendall. It's not right, and therefore I refuse to allow it to be cannon. Like what were the writers thinking?! Wendall, the one who called this job a "miracle" way back when, doesn't believe this is his true calling?? I mean I know that things can change - people change majors and careers all the time. But you are telling me after god knows how many years of being in grad school, all the countless hours of studying, that Wendall isn't going to write his dissertation in the field of anthropology? All because he couldn't figure out what to write his dissertation on? If I recall correctly, Arastoo took a while to figure out his dissertation as well and Bones didn't say anything about it to him. I don't know I don't think the writers did Wendall justice here. I have always been a fan of Wendall and I don't think it is fair to end his story like this. Time and time again we have seen Wendall fight to work at the Jeffersonian and now he's like ya know what, you're right, I'm not as passionate about this as the other interns. That's some bull, buddy. And ya wanna know how I know it's bull, because I have watched 12 seasons of this show (most of the seasons multiple times) and I know enough to say that Wendall is passionate about this field of study.

Best part: the only redeeming quality for the wendall storyline is how Brennan approached it. While I fully do not agree with the conclusion she comes to, I think she really did handle it well and in a caring manner. I also loved that she told him that he will always have this family and that he can still come over to watch the game with her and Booth. It goes to show the strong relationships that he has made along the way. I'm glad that at least the writers didn't destroy that like they did with his future career.

Worst part: how can I choose just one? Let's go with the boring case that I barely paid attention to

In all honesty, I just want to end this review with a little note to the Bones Booth Podcast. I hope you guys see this. I just want to say that I have had a blast reviewing all of these episodes and I love listening to your episodes every week. Thank you for giving me something to look forward to every Wednesday! And thank you for reading the IMDB reviews, it has been fun to engage with you guys through these. I can wait to hear you guys review this episode and hopefully read this review one day (in like 4 years). Thanks again! :)

I really didn't care much for the episode. I once watched an animal die. At first it was actively trying everything to stay alive. It exerted every ounce of strength it had left. Finally, there was acceptance. The body continued to weakly put out energy, but it was soon over. Watching this episode I felt I was watching that animal again. For Brennan to take Bray aside and advise him not to continue with what he has loved and studied because she, in her infinite wisdom, thinks he should do something else. She is one of the least "human" characters I've ever encountered (in the sense of the psychological beings of people), so she has not earned that type of judgment. I endured this episode--it seemed a year long but I can see now that the show is about to die.
