The episode of "Mister Ed" entitled "The Horsetronaut," shown in the film, aired on Sunday, October 8, 1961 (Season 2, Episode 2), which would have made it approximately a whole year earlier than when this story was to take place. Even though the series was still being filmed in 1962, the show was aired during Prime Time, and would not be shown during Elisa's graveyard ship. See more »

A sweet and beautiful fairy tale for a modern world. So thoughtful and lovingly made! Very clever, it's a shame so many people have lost the patience and understanding to really appreciate how great this movie actually is.
