Cherry Is Tasty!
AhmedSpielberg9915 August 2018
Cherry may be the best directed and edited episode so far. It has everything that makes this slow-burn show so hypnotizing. In terms of the story's development, Cherry is far from being the best episode; it had a little to offer. However, it provided us with some small details. Also, Cherry proved, to those who aren't familiar with her, that Amy Adams can pull, and move gracefully between, many different, and contradictory reactions and feelings.

Warning: Spoilers
I am still waiting for some solid answers but what I see on the screen is interesting so far. I think the scene that is confusing with Camille and the teens can be open to interpretation. It annoyed me at first but I took it as maybe she's so depressed that she just decided to have a little fun and not be in reality due to her being back home dealing with her mom and her memories. If you don't think about the "why" then it won't make any sense to you.

There were some little hints about who might be the killer but they do a good job at making you think twice about that.

Amazing episode
gridoon202413 January 2019
Some people complain that this series is slow, and by conventional standards it is, but it is quite clear that the main purpose of the people who made it is not just to tell a crime story, but to immerse you into an experience, to pull you into a state of mind; in that purpose, they have succeeded like few others. This particular episode, even more than the others before it, is thoroughly mesmerizing, especially in its last section. ***1/2 out of 4.

Amazing

Best episode so far. Gives some clues on who might the killer be and if you're one of the people who have read the book too, then you can totally figure them out. I love the details.

Scene with her little sister and teens
rich-heaven13 August 2018
Irritating The scene with Camille's little sister Amma and the teens was so awful and I didn't buy it for a second So maybe Camille was along for the journalistic viewpoint of the whole thing but she seems too irritated to stay and her character would've been like "f you I'm outta here" Or maybe she was keeping an eye on Amma Whatever the case I thought the episode ended well regardless of that particularly irritating scene

It is getting tedious...
MegaMaexn19 August 2018
At the beginning I liked the show, I thought it was ambitious and deep, trying to tell a story in an unconventional way with unusual characters. However, it should have ended after 4 episodes, making the story telling much tighter. It now feels too slow, pretentious and the rawness of various characters becomes gratuitous, the flashbacks are not really working to advance Camile's backstory and the relationships are painfully overdone. I am not sure yet whether I am going to invest more time to watch the remaining two episodes...

Mediocre

Sorry, but most of it is a waste of time to watch. I Love Amy Adams, but her talent is wasted on a thin plot.

Still nope.

Warning: Spoilers
In Cherry now we have girl drama and nothingness, while the case sit idly by. Camille's certainly in a better space. Amma seems to have quite a presence in this town, as well as being everywhere at once, all while maintaining her good image at home, bit much in my opinion.

Warning: Spoilers
After a pretty decent episode last week we are back to the over the top nonsense here.

Maybe I just desensitized by having watched plenty of quality dramas over the years, but we need to get more than this. Stop with the random flashes between time periods and get on telling us a meaningful story.

Worst episode of the series
VH1jesse3 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The party scene was extremely irritating and hard to watch for me. I get that Amy Adams character is a alcoholic dealing with severe personal trauma but there is no way that any 30-something year old would have done the things that she did in this episode. Not only were her actions completely unrealistic the entire thing was totally unnecessary. They could've removed that entire portion of the episode and nothing would've been lost. Her sister is supposed to be in 8th grade or a freshman (in an early episode her sister said she used to hang out with the murder victims "a million years ago in 7th grade" and Amy Adams says you mean like a year ago) and Camille is doing drugs with people young enough to be her children and hanging out at their party? Just frustratingly stupid, everything else has been great so far but this episode was horrible specifically because of the unnecessary party scene. Hoping they don't botch the ending after that nightmare.

Warning: Spoilers
They found Ann's bicycle and that's the only thing about the murders. They partied and the two sisters got high together. Something is off with the girlfriend of Natalie's brother.

All over Wind Gap, people are waking up.

What comes across in "Cherry" is how the characters use words...When people speak, it's not so much the words they speak, but the tone and intent behind what they say.
