• Inspector Wu : [conversing in Cantonese]  What do we know about Sawyer?

  Sergeant Han : Marine Corps, Bronze Star... FBI for six years, Hostage Rescue for eight. Wife, two kids. She's a combat surgeon. Three tours in Afghanistan. Don't have a location on them yet. Will Sawyer was hired as a safety assessor. He had access to the security protocols. Maybe he shut down the anti-fire measures.

  Inspector Wu : Do me a favor, go find Will Sawyer. I'd like to as him some questions.

  Sergeant Han : [in English]  Yes, sir.

  Inspector Wu : [in Cantonese, as she starts to leave]  Sergeant Han?

  Sergeant Han : Sir?

  Inspector Wu : Never mind, I found him.

  Sergeant Han : [watching a news broadcast, they see him climbing a construction crane opposite the burning Pearl]  Holy shit.

• Inspector Wu : [figuring out how Botha's team plans to escape]  This is the Pearl. A BASE jump from 1,000 meters up gives you roughly about two kilometers descent distance.

  Inspector Wu : Now, if you're right, they will land somewhere within this circle. Somewhere open and flat, secluded. Now, they wouldn't go for Victoria Park. There's too many trees to get hung up on. South, they wouldn't clear the peak. North, maybe, but it's a longer haul to an open spot.

  Sarah Sawyer : What about this? What's that?

  Sergeant Han : That's nothing. It's a construction site. Bay Dredge.

  [in Cantonese as Wu circles it] 

  Sergeant Han : You can't seriously be considering this. For all we know, she could be in on it.

  Sarah Sawyer : You think I would willingly trap my own children in a burning building?

  Sergeant Han : I think you could be playing a role. This could all be part of your husband's plan.

  Sarah Sawyer : [to Wu]  Take me there. If I am wrong and it's empty, then what have you lost? But if I am right, this might be your only chance to catch the people responsible for this whole thing.

• Sergeant Han : And you claim your husband isn't involved?

  Sarah Sawyer : It's not a claim. He's not involved.

  Inspector Wu : How many of them did you say you saw?

  Sarah Sawyer : One in a suit, two others in coveralls. The one that I spoke to, he had an accent. Scandanavian, I think. Six foot, white, muscular.

  [Han shows her a photo array] 

  Sarah Sawyer : There. Top row. Second from the right.

  Inspector Wu : Is this the man you saw?

  Sarah Sawyer : That's him. Who is he?

  Inspector Wu : Kores Botha. Ex-military. Has a nasty crew with him, too. High-end muscle for three different crime syndicates.

  Sergeant Han : [to Wu in Cantonese]  Inspector... this doesn't pass the smell test. This isn't Botha's M.O. Why would he trap himself in the fire? And why would he cut off his only way out? It doesn't make any sense.

  Sarah Sawyer : [in Cantonese, too]  They're going to jump.

  Sergeant Han : [switching back to English]  Excuse me?

  Sarah Sawyer : One of them was carrying a container, and it had a logo with wings on it and the word "Sirin." Look it up.

  [Han runs an image search, and they see it's the logo of a company that produces parachutes]
