"Remember My Name" Well, there's quite a few ahead of you my friend. People who lived, loved, dreamed, built, gave of themselves until there was nothing left to give and went into the earth too soon. The only difference is they had no one following them around with a camera recording every belch and fart and plastering billboards with those pearls of cosmic wisdom. DANNY BOY has been sung for two hundred years or more and the author is unknown. LA PALOMA is the most recorded song ever written. Composed over a hundred and sixty years ago. Not one in a million can tell you the name of the poet. Will your tunes be sung two hundred years from now? Will they be known at all by the next two generations? Doubt it. There's a million tunes out there, more coming every day, yours are there in the pile. Your tide came in and now it's going back out. Remember your name? That's a desire that's usually filled by a mans family, his children, brothers and sisters, wife. I have a lot of names to remember already, friends, family, folks who helped, folks who hurt. Your name will go on a stone and you'll take your chances with the rest of us. Some will remember, most will forget.
