Storyline

Now living with Sam and Bruce Andy has had some musical success but his dream of hitting the big time turns into a nightmare when he is reminded of the son he had with Teresa but never visited. When record producer Marsh Healey asks him to write a song for boy-band NTL he initially feels it would compromise his integrity but Errol, despite resentment of Bruce as his stepfather, suggests he do it to provide money for his son. However when he goes to see Teresa with the news he gets a nasty shock though at least Errol and Bruce start to get on due to their both being geeks. Written by don @ minifie-1

Father's Day
22 November 2019 | by Prismark10See all my reviews

Uncle has always been an offbeat, amiable comedy drama about manchild Andy and his developing relationship with his more mature nephew Errol.

In the opening episode of the third and final series we have gone forward 18 months. Andy is enjoying musical success but he is haunted by the child he had with Teresa who he has never seen. He worries about fatherhood and seeks advice.

Errol meanwhile is being bit of a brat. He is not getting on with his stepfather Bruce who is planning to have a child with his mother.

The chat with Andy and Val was a highlight of this episode. It has a bittersweet tinge for Andy when he does go to see Teresa. Deep down Andy knows he was not yet ready to be a father.
