Enjoyed this cutesy angels and demons anime
Irishchatter1 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Really thought this anime is real and kinda given us a message that no one is an angel not even Gabriel! Even if she puts on an act, you just would see it as fake. Yup I think we all have to be actors for real lol

I love the opening song like it's stuck in my head. Though not a fan of Lucky Star, I loved the opening song to that as well. Both songs are pretty catchy even if I'm not Japanese fluent!

The story was pretty neat as well, it was always funny when Gabriel tried to use her teleport magic to bring her to school and her knickers always went instead of her. I couldn't stop laughing when I've seen it first on the first episode lol.

If you love the angels and demons genre with a spice of comedy, this one is up your alley!

I'm not sure how I feel about this show

The plot might be strange and I'm not a big fan of high school life animes but for some reason I can't stop watching it. It's pretty funny.

One of my favorite animes
waltebr14 October 2020
Oh my god where do I even start? This is one of the BEST animes I have ever seen, it changed my life completely :D

The opening itself is fast-paced, chaotic, and overall, quite a bop and super catchy. The episodes itself give you a wide range of emotion from making you angry, to making you cry, to making you laugh your pants off. The characters are extremely relatable too! I deal with bullying a lot where I'm from, so I know how Satania would feel. The ending itself is catchy and definitely a bop. I really want to see a season 2, rumors are there might be one next year with the progress of the manga.

This is one of my favorite animes of all time! Definitely binge-worthy and funny! All of the characters represent every single one of us and I'm not sure how I feel about that (>////<) I'm definitely a mix of Satania and Gabriel!

Another funny anime favorite with spice
ja_kitty_7117 August 2021
Let me point out that I have put off writing a review for so long; I just got sidetracked. I bought a new Roku TV because it has Crunchyroll as a streaming channel to add. I gave it a test by watching this series last evening; everything works fine.

Anyway, this is another hilarious anime series. I was quite curious about this series after looking at the screencaps and also the artwork anime fans had done. Also, I had read the original manga; it was based; thank goodness, it was translated into English.

For those who don't know the story, it's about a young angel named Gabriel Tenma, who had graduated at the top of the class in Heaven's angel school. She then attends a human school down on Earth in the pursuit of knowledge. But then she gets engrossed in a web game and a sloth.

You know, it was hard to choose a favorite character, so I would say my favorite character is Vignette. For a young demon, she's actually - nice. I think she and another angel named Raphiel should switch positions. Overall, this anime series is another favorite series with superb animation and "spicy" humor. Even though I do agree with some fans that with twelve episodes, the story-line seemed rushed. Also, I really wish the series in on North American DVD.

Impressive how mean spirited this show is...
ecvoid8 April 2020
There are 4 supernatural female characters attending the same school: 2 angels and 2 demons. The protagonist's name is Gabriel (go figure). After she was sent to the human world she became a dispassionate slob. Her friend, might I add her ONLY friend, is a good natured demon named Vignette. The somewhat inversion of roles provides some humour right from the start of the show. The aspiring queen of hell, Satanichia, is putting up an evil front while in truth she struggles with all things diabolical. The same could not be said about the second angel in the show, Raphiel, who is manipulative and set her sights on torturing Satanichia to alleviate her boredom.

You might say the pieces are starting to form a cheerful show, right? Wrong. The dominant source of comedy is malice. The protagonist is nonchalant about everything and everyone to the point of casually voicing her desire that every human should die. Even the apocalypse is carefree brought into conversation. While these types of jokes may be funny, overuse hammers the comedy out of dark-comedy. Not to mention the way Raphiel toys with Satanichia made my blood boil. While Satanichia states on multiple occasions that she is Gabriel's rival, in fact she is nothing more than a nuisance. Every action the protagonist takes against said "rival" is blown out of proportion reaching the level of viciousness. When Vignette joined in the bullying I simply had to stop watching...

It seems the creators thought that repeatedly showing a self proclaimed evil person up is acceptable. After the few episodes I saw it became visible that this anime's shtick is violent harassment loosely supported by few and far between sharp witted scenes.
