Screenplay for a Sequel (2016)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
George A. Romero is on hand to discuss the screenplay for his 1987 film CREEPSHOW 2. Romero starts off talking about the original CREEPSHOW and how it had been enough of a hit for them to get the idea for a sequel. He then talks about how the film was originally going to have two additional stories but that idea was scrapped, although one of the stories was eventually used in TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE: THE MOVIE. From here he talks about adapting a Stephen King story as well as some budget issues they had on the movie. I've always been a fan of CREEPSHOW 2 so it was nice getting to hear from Romero as he discussed various things dealing with the production. If you're a fan of the director or the film then you'll certainly be entertained with this, although why he didn't direct it is never brought up.
