Hero Academia, to me, feels very uninspired, uninteresting, and cliche. It's not bad, per se, but it just doesn't bring anything new to the table. It has a school setting, it has superpowers, and it has a tournament arc stuff that people LOVE. And that's okay. If you love all things shounen, you'll love this series. If you're looking for something more... well, you won't find it here. It's an anime in which you can find all its aspects in other anime. You've got your regular MC who doesn't believe in himself, the love interest, the MC's good friend, his rival who hates him, blah, blah, blah. You've got your superpowers, which have NO boundaries unlike other anime you've got your regular ole bad guy group (legit called the league of villains).... generally, nothing really feels new in this anime. There isn't one single aspect it completely fails on, but it also doesn't nail anything either.

Postive -

The art is nice The sound track is spectacular The pacing is excellent The action is enthralling The humour is easy to grasp

Negative -

The main focus is Deku, who is admittedly not my favorite main character Underwhelming antagonists.

So peak and if you think about it, it tells such a harrowing tale about what it is like to be Deku. He gets left all alone and gets threatened!! Deku is also literally me like I love him so much he is one of my favorite main characters of all time and I can't help but feel bad for him and sympathize with him! Especially in this episode when he is left all alone in the mall and Shigaraki starts choking him and literally nobody in the mall gives a damn! Poor Deku!!!!

Shigaraki is such a goated villain and has countless great one-liners in this one. I love that guy!! Although he is pretty pathetic and overall a flop as a villain in this episode, he is such a hoot that I simply do not care about all that! Also Eric Vale puts forth a superb voice acting performance that allows me to truly appreciate Shigaraki as a character, and it shines through in this episode.

This is the episode I watch the most; so incredible!
