In less than a month I binged both seasons of this amazing series. The creator was very consistent with the quality of the show. Releasing the second season three years after the first one was definitely the right choice, as the screenwriters had actually the time to develop a good and intense story, plenty of twists. It is well balanced: there are interesting and emotional dialogues that deepen the characters and let us gradually discover their story. There are many tough scenes and even if this is a story of pure fiction, it took inspiration from events that unfortunately really happened and it hurts to see some things. The acting is top notch and all the cast members gave amazing performances and they gave a lot of personality to their respective roles, I could feel attached to every single one of them, I really root for them. Even the "bad guys" were amazingly built and one of my favorite characters from the Nazi side was definitely Travis. Greg Austin was able to perfectly incarnate this unhinged criminal with serious mental issues. Al Pacino was of course the cherry on the cake and with such a grand actor, you cannot go wrong. This is one of the best casts that I have seen in a while.
The action sequences are well coordinated and nothing is over the top. There are many black humor sketches during the first season that unfortunately disappear completely on the latter one. A real loss, because in my perspective they filled the episode with some peculiar and well thought moments that were bringing away the audience from all the seriousness. The season that was released this year has a darker tone, and it lacked a bit of dynamicity in the plot. There are many scenes that are clearly fillers that unfortunately do not add much to the story, repeating some elements that we have already apprehended before. Aside from this small problem, "Hunters" is a solid show that I truly enjoyed, and I definitely suggest it.
