Love where they are going with Bell. Mistakes happen everyday.

Well-presented opposing views . . .

Warning: Spoilers
One, the surgeon (Bell) who makes mistakes and makes excuses and lies and Two, the surgeon (Jacoby) who did her best, apologized to those she -- or anyone -- could not save, and sought help.

And the speech by Devon to Conrad -- that he, Devon "was the better doctor for Lily" -- was cruel. Who wrote that? Esp when we know why Lily died at the hands of . . . another bad doctor hunter.

Disagree w/ the other commenter who pooh-poohed the use of 'dead people' to show the truth of doctors who feel the pain when their patients die. This episode and its use was done well and that last moment, so true.

Haunted

Warning: Spoilers
Dr. Bell laying down the law in the operating room, and his behavior in general, was the highlight of the night, but overall the show is a little bit shaky. These quirky "I see ghosts" storylines are the kind of things Grey's Anatomy and ER have done to death, no pun intended.

What the show can do is more fighting with the doctors, more budget and insurance issues; aka real problems that TV does not often highlight. That will make The Resident special.
