- "Jamil" tells the story of two people buried in Syria. At the same time, a German war photographer prepares for her next assignment. In the end, both stories come together. Will they survive?
- Khalead, a Syrian civilian and Steve, an American, are spilled in an explosion. They are buried under debris. After some moments Steve awakes and when he realizes after some time that he is immobilized, he panics. Then suddenly he hears the voice of Khalead a few meters away. They don't understand each other but they start to talk. At the same time, Anja, an internationally awarded war photographer is preparing for her next assignment in Germany. The story tells the last evening before her departure, together with her husband Leo. The upcoming mission will be tough, maybe harder than the previous ones. Both know, but nobody says it. Finally, Leo takes her to the airport. An montage begins in which Leo waits for a first sign of life from Anja and how at the same time the conversation between Steve and Khalead is more and more silenced under the rubble. As the days go by, the situation gets dramatically worse. It finally gets quiet around the two - After a full five days, Leo finally gets a message from Anja and we experience light in the dark for the first time with Steve and Khalead. Are both saved?—Michele Gentile
