Storyline

In this pilot episode, there are cutaway "make-up!" tributes to Milton Berle; Jack Bachner in drag as Johnny Stevens' wife; Stevens and Bachner trade information as secret agents with additional slapstick foolishness by Allen Roberts; and when a possible murder occurs, and a married couple played by Dave and Maureen Cooper try to call the sixth precinct, confusion ensues when they accidentally call the schtick precinct, and vaudevillian cops Stevens and Bachner respond to the scene of the crime. Finally, Stevens and Bachner showcase their comedy skills as lamebrained burglars with a tribute to comedians past in a silent sketch. Musical guest Enclosed Segments performs "Grey Rain" and "The Cube." Written by Johnny Stevens
