Engaging and enlightening. So much information is packaged into each 30 minute episode. It's like The Daily, but even more powerful with its visual components. I was initially surprised to see so many reviews degrading the show, given the quality of its reporting and production. But I guess hate is inevitable when anyone speaks ill of Trump.
This isn't a Trump-hating fest. There are critiques of Trump, but don't be fooled that this show has an anti-Trump agenda. In the first 6 episodes, we've had 4 non-Trump episodes: an ISIS attack, the NYC taxi medallion crisis, a fraudulent college prep school in Louisiana, and the impacts of a GM factory being shuttered. And in the two episodes centered around Trump and his administration, info is presented impartially. Some facts that are presented offer a critical view of Trump, but that doesn't spell bias. I feel like if we aren't allowed to critique the government where criticism is due, for fear of being "biased", then we may as well be lackeys.
It's quality journalism. I hope the NYT, FX and Hulu continue this show, because I greatly appreciate watching it.
